In partnership with Penfolds
Some spaces feel purposely designed for a great night – the light is low and preferably candlelit, the tables are close, and conversation finds its rhythm almost immediately. Potts Point's Caravin is one of those spaces, which is why it was the perfect space for RUSSH to gather its creative community for an intimate dinner in celebration of Penfolds’ creative partnership with Troye Sivan.
The collaboration — which centres around Sivan’s Bin 389 design — was first unveiled in Paris (during Fashion Week, naturally) and is grounded in a simple but enduring idea: connection above all else. “When we were in Paris, Troye spoke about wanting this partnership to speak to connection,” said RUSSH Editor in Chief Jess Blanch, who hosted the evening. “The most organic way to honour that felt like a dinner — something intimate, shared, and grounded in conversation.”
And so, across Caravin’s tightly held tables, the evening took on that spirit. Glasses were enjoyed as conversations folded into one another, and guests shifted between topics as easily as they did seats.
Penfolds Global Creative Director Luke Anton and Penfolds Australia Ambassador Zoe Warrington guided the room through the wines, speaking to the lineage behind each pour. Their conversation traced the House Style that defines Penfolds, while also opening up space for a more personal reading of each wine. A menu anchored by seasonal French flavours was expertly curated by the Caravin team, complementing each wine poured.
Guests — including RUSSH purists Christelle Scifo, Roberta Pecoraro, Kitty Callaghan, Tom Derickx and Phoebe Wolfe, among others — sipped wine and settled in. As the night went on, the room gradually became less about individual tables and more about a single, continuous exchange. And eventually, the night spilled onto the street outside, the table extending into Potts Point itself.
