The race to the 2026 Oscars has officially begun. The long-awaited nominations have today been revealed, and now the spotlight turns to the films, actors and creatives who defined the past year in cinema. From directorial visions to career-defining performances, this year’s race is perhaps as tight as they come. For Australians, it's exciting to see two of our own get recognised: Jacob Elordi, for his supporting role in Frankenstein, and Rose Byrne, who last week took home the Golden Globe for her work on If I Had Legs I'd kick You.
Elsewhere, Sinners took home the most nods — breaking records with a total of 16 nominations, including for best picture, cinematography and screenplay. So, who else is in the running? Below, we're bringing you the full list of nominations from the 2026 Oscars.
