‘Off Campus’ just confirmed its romance for season two

Off Campus season two.

It's impossible to predict which new series will resonate with audiences but, the college-set romantic drama Off Campus has connected more than most. Following the first book in Elle Kennedy's series of ice-hockey romances, the show has the third most-watched Prime Video debut of all time, according to Variety.

In season one, Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright, take on the love story between Garrett Graham and and Hannah Wells. But much like Bridgerton, every novel follows a different couple, and we finally have details of what — or should we say who — season two will hone in on.

Here, we share everything we know about Off Campus season two.

Season two will focus on Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes

It's official: the romance between Allie (Mika Abdalla) and Dean (Stephen Kalyn) is shifting into the spotlight in the forthcoming second season.

Series creator Louisa Levy said, “We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one."

She also provided some sage advice for those disappointed at the prospect of losing Hannah and Garrett: "Don’t worry — they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There's a lot for fans to look forward to!”

If you've read the books, you'll know that it now make sense to why Allie and Dean's romance was introduced in the first season, as compared to the books when it remains a secret.

It didn't take long for season two to be confirmed

Yes, fortunately for all Off Campus fans, the show has officially been renewed for a second season. Deadline confirmed the news back in February, before the first season had even made it to our screens.

"Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience,” Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios told the publication. “With its passionate fan base, rich source material, and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life, we knew that this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season."

Which book will Off Campus season two follow?

The first season of Off Campus was based on the first novel in the Off Campus book series, titled The Deal. So, will season two naturally onto the events of the second book?

While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, given that Dean and Allie have been confirmed as central to season two, we're guessing that the show will actually take on the love story of the third book, The Score (this is the book about the couple).

Ella Bright has more or less confirmed this theory, too. In an interview with VarietyBright was asked whether Dean and Allie’s season would be the next one, to which she responded with a smile and a nod, which many fans are taking as a confirmation.

Not all the cast members are returning for the second season

While Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli have confirmed that they are returning for a second season, not every character is.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed that Australian actor Josh Heuston, who plays Justin Kohl in the series, will not be returning for the second season.

"Not next season, but I love Josh and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point," she said. "We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we'll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don't have him (available) next season, but never say never."

When is Off Campus season two being released? Be patient

The second season of the show doesn't have a premiere date at this stage, but is expected to arrive in mid-2027.

“All eight scripts are written [for Season 2] and we have a very exciting plan for the season," Levy told Variety. "I don’t want to say anything yet—but I think book fans will be very excited.”
