Is Odessa A’zion releasing an album?

The world has pretty quickly fallen head over heels for Odessa A'zion – and it's easy to see why. She's a stellar actress (we binged I Love LA without coming up for air and devoured Marty Supreme with just as much vigour). She's got perhaps the world's most enviable mane of curls (we need to know the routine please). Her friend group includes Billie Eilish, Quenlin Blackwell, Rachel Sennott and Drew Starkey. And now, she's outed herself as a burgeoning musician too.

If that last part surprised you – you probably haven't been paying enough attention. A'zion already had music released under her name on streaming platforms, and is close friends with plenty of established musicians. But if you're looking for more definitive answers about her music career, we've got you covered below...

Does she already have music released?

Yes, but those recently and mysteriously disappeared from streaming platforms. On the carpet at the recent Actor Awards in Los Angeles, she spoke to Associated Press about why this was the case – the reasons behind it not exactly what you'd imagine.

"What I will say is that the music thing is so annoying, because somebody brought it to my attention that two of my songs are off Spotify and Apple Music," A'zion said. "And then I just got an email from DistroKid the other day – it's because my card declined and I didn't know. And now I'm pretty sure they're gone forever. I might still have the original file, but I don't even know where. We'll see... we'll see. I'll find it."

When asked if there was new music on the way, she responded coyly. "I mean, I'm working on music all the time. But now, with all this happening, there's no time – which sucks. So I'm just doing it every free chance I get. But I really, really want that to happen.

Will she release an album?

A'zion spoke about the potential of a debut album with Elle in a recent interview. The publication asked her if it was true that she was working on an album, to which she responded: "For the last 25 years... will it ever see the light of day?" Her publicist off camera answered with a vehement: "Yes!"

A'zion then continues: "I hope so. If ya'll see how many songs I'm sitting on that I've written through the years..." She then proceeds to scroll through her phone voice notes app with hundreds of song notes.
