If you can believe it, it’s that time of year again. Yes, New York Fashion Week is upon us. The first stop on fashion month’s annual pilgrimage, the city is already giving us plenty to talk about for spring summer 2027.
There’s plenty to marvel at this season, from established New York names like Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Khaite, Michael Kors and Proenza Schouler to newer faces including Conner Ives and Magda Butrym, as well as Henry Zankov’s debut at Diane von Furstenberg. We’ll be keeping an eye on all of it and you can too, with every highlight from New York Fashion Week spring summer 2027, below.
Thom Browne
What better way to conclude New York Fashion Week than with a walk through Thom Browne's garden? The designer's spring summer 2027 collection was a metamorphoses – from grey suiting, to jackets swarmed with bees, a life-sized lady bug gown, and capes emblazoned with the patterns of butterfly wings.
Collina Strada
Collina Strada took a “Detour” out of New York this season, staging a runway at Storm King Art Center. The collection was a collision of romance, punk, and a little bit of Y2K spirit – and it also marked the debut of two new footwear collaborations. The first, KEEN’s functional silhouettes given a decidedly feminine Collina Strada treatment, while the second was a Converse Chuck Taylor Plié, which reworked the classic sneaker through the lens of dance.
Calvin Klein
Creative Director Veronica Leoni continued her exploration of American minimalism with this collection, stripping the Calvin Klein wardrobe back to its essentials and putting the focus firmly on the body. Crisp tailoring, elongated trousers, pencil skirts, slips and even denim were cut in slim proportions, while sheer layers and flashes of citron yellow, scarlet and royal blue kept things interesting. Presented at New York’s Terminal Warehouse, the collection’s pared-back approach was offset by sculptural Walter De Maria works lining the runway.
Conner Ives
A designer's debut at New York Fashion Week is a monumental occasion, and Conner Ives certainly made the most of his. It was something of a homecoming for the designer who, despite hailing from New York originally, first cut his teeth in the UK's fashion scene. The collection itself was joyous, sensual, and colourful, and brought to life by a cast of familiar faces including Terrence O'Connor, Hari Nef, and Lila Moss.
Khaite
Khaite leaned into the romance of getting dressed for spring summer 2027, pairing lingerie-inspired slips, exposed bras and sculptural crinolines with tousled hair and plenty its signature leather. Antique-inspired corsetry brought a sense of romance and femininity, while shrunken leather jackets with pronounced shoulders provided a sharper, tougher counterpoint.
Sandy Liang
Girlhood met utility at Sandy Liang this season. The designer traded some of her signature bows for drawstring pockets and pouches adorning skirts in every variety. The bow motif was still present, of course, appearing oversized at the centre of babydoll dresses or hugging the hips of tulle skirts. The utilitarian streak continued through technical funnel-neck jackets, while drawstrings cinched the waists of sundresses, adding a functional finish to an otherwise feminine silhouette.
Diane von Furstenburg
Diane von Furstenburg's Spring Summer 2027 runway was a monumental occasion, as designer Henry Zankov took over the reigns of the storied house as its first artistic director. Zankov proved himself fluent in classic Diane von Furstenberg codes – from wrap dresses to self-assured prints – each reinterpreted with a fresh perspective.
Tommy Hilfiger
Classic prep was alive and well for Tommy Hilfiger's return to the New York Fashion Week schedule. Unsurprising, considering the designer dipped into his own archives from the 1990s for inspiration. The result was a palette of rich reds, blues and greens, with softer smatterings of pale pink, buttery yellow and cream. As for the pieces themselves, they spanned micro shorts, rugby polos, baggy trousers and waterproof jackets – with a few slinky dress styles thrown in for good measure.
Coach
Coach might've technically shown off-schedule (a day early, to be specific), but that didn't stop them from throwing a party to celebrate the brand's 85th anniversary – literally. While the collection began in muted tones and languid tailoring, things progressed to silks, sequinned gowns, and accessories in the form of party hats, presents, and body glitter. This is one party we want an invite to.
Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren revisited the signatures that have defined the house for decades, but with a more youthful and sensual perspective for spring summer 2027. Tailoring, prep, denim and Americana were all present, but reworked through low-slung silhouettes, exposed midriffs, romantic Edwardian details and fluid eveningwear. The result was unmistakably Ralph Lauren, only with a little more attitude.
Cult Gaia
For spring summer 2027, Cult Gaia explored what an evolution from darkness to light. Dubbed 'Behesht', meaning heaven in Persian, the collection unfolded in a series of sculptural dresses, sheer fabrics, fringing and woven details, and whimsical embellishment. Loose knotted ponytails and sun-kissed berry blush completed the fantasy.
