Melbourne beauty aficionados, this one’s for you: MECCA has opened the doors to its new Flagship store, and it’s their biggest yet.
Just when we thought we couldn’t love the beauty retailer anymore, they've officially set up shop to a behemoth MECCA store on Melbourne's iconic Bourke Street, and it's officially open, as of August 8, 2025.
In addition to stocking over 200 of our favourite beauty brands (Glossier, Hourglass, Dries Van Noten, to name a few) the new Flagship will also offer 80 (yes, 80) services. Keep reading for everything we know so far.
When does MECCA's new Melbourne Flagship open?
The wait is (finally) over, with the new MECCA Melbourne store set to open on August 8, 2025.
What services will be offered at MECCA's Melbourne Flagship store?
Much like Sydney's George Street Flagship, the new MECCA store will be brimming with services and experiences – a feature the RUSSH team and many others have come to love about the retail offering. We now finally know what these exciting new concepts entail:
- MECCA Apothecary, which will service customers' holistic needs via 15 new wellness brands
- MECCA Atelier, a one-stop in-store salon complete with makeup, hair, and nail services
- MECCAversity Auditorium, an education space dedicated to bringing customers and team members together for masterclasses and beauty school courses alike, opening in late 2025
- MECCA Gift Box, an elevated suite for all your gifting needs, including personalised engraving and calligraphy services
- MECCA Aesthetica, a place for clinical skin treatments with expert dermal therapists, cosmetic consultations with qualified registered nurses and exclusive new brands.
- MECCA Newsroom, a location for breaking beauty news, located at the front of the store
- Cafe MECCA, exactly as it sounds, a place to recharge with food and drink mid-shop
The three new services and spaces will offer exciting, new experiential offerings to the Flagship store, but that doesn't mean MECCA's classic offerings will be going anywhere. Namely, the sprawling Perfumeria of globally curated fragrances designed to engage all the senses.
Where is MECCA's new Melbourne Flagship store located?
The new MECCA store will be housed at 299 Bourke street. From 1883 to 1929, the site was home to Edward William Cole's iconic Cole's Book arcade — a two-story book shop that was once the largest in the world. We'll be waiting eagerly to see how the historic space is transformed with MECCA's signature pink and red colours.
