Zendaya and Hoyeon find their monogram match with Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is leaning into legacy – and making it feel intimately, thrillingly personal.

In a new chapter of its 130th anniversary celebration, the House turns its gaze toward the Monogram not as mere motif, but as memory-maker. Unveiled in Paris on February 11, the campaign positions the brand’s most storied bags as lifelong companions, carried not just across continents but across generations.

There’s something quietly powerful about the timing. In an era obsessed with the new, Louis Vuitton is honouring endurance – spotlighting ambassadors whose own cultural permanence mirrors the bags they carry.

Zendaya leads the narrative with the Speedy, that soft-structured emblem of 1930s modernity. Originally conceived as compact luggage for a world discovering movement, the Speedy has since shapeshifted through decades of artistic reinvention. On her arm, it feels kinetic –  a living canvas that keeps pace with a life lived in transit.

Then comes Catherine Deneuve with the Alma, all Parisian precision and sculptural grace. Rooted in Art Deco codes, the Alma’s rounded Toron handles and curved base echo the architectural elegance Deneuve has embodied for decades. It’s less a handbag, more an heirloom – a study in restraint and refinement.

Liu Yifei brings a poetic lightness to the Noé, first designed in 1932 to carry champagne bottles. With its supple leather and drawstring silhouette, the Noé has always balanced utility and romance. On Liu, it reads as effortless independence — practical, yes, but deeply expressive.

And finally, Hoyeon with the Neverfull: a modern icon introduced in 2007, featherlight yet resilient. It moves seamlessly between worlds, much like she does – from runway to screen to front row – embodying a contemporary ease that feels distinctly now.

Together, these Monogram pillars trace a 130-year arc of innovation and artistry. What Louis Vuitton proposes here is simple yet resonant: true luxury isn’t about ownership. It’s about continuity. The bag you carry today may one day carry your story.
