Leo Woodall’s role in ‘Vladimir’ takes office romance to the next level

Leo Woodall

Ever had a work crush you couldn't stop thinking about? Leo Woodall's new series, Vladimir, is set to turn that familiar feeling into eight compelling episodes. In the years since he first found fame as Jack in The White Lotus, Dexter in One Day and, more recently, Roxster in the fourth Bridget Jones, we've developed something of an affinity for the rising British actor. Now, he's branching out into the territory of office romances, and we're (obviously) not mad about it. Here's what you need to know about Vladimir.

Who else is involved in Vladimir?

Woodall will star opposite Rachel Weisz, who has been attached to star and executive produce since March. RUSSH favourite Sharon Horgan is also on board as an executive producer (there's no word yet on whether she'll act, but we can only hope). And the story was adapted from Julia May Jonas’ acclaimed novel by the same name, so Jonas is also part of the creative team, both as writer and executive producer.

What is it about?

The official logline for the series' plot reads: “As a woman’s (Weisz) life unravels, she becomes obsessed with her captivating new colleague (Woodall). Full of sexy secrets, dark humour and complex characters, Vladimir is about what happens when a woman goes hell-bent to turn her fantasies into reality.”

If you hadn't already pieced it together, Woodall's character is called Vladimir. Only time will tell if he'll put an Eastern European accent to the test...

When will Vladimir come out?

While we don't have a firm release date, we do know the series has been greenlit for eight episodes. Woodall will need to squeeze in filming around his already stacked schedule, with a role in A24's Anthony Bourdain biopic, Tony, also on the cards this year. We'll keep you updated.
