Everything you need to know ahead of Laneway 2025, including set times and how to get easy access to the main stage

Get ready, music fans – Laneway Festival is back for 2025, bringing a killer lineup of live acts across Australia and New Zealand.

Kicking off in February, this Trans-Tasman favourite is set to deliver an unforgettable festival experience. And after plenty of speculation online, late las year, we finally received confirmation that one Charli XCX will be bringing her brat album down under. Joining her on the killer lineup are other international acts like Olivia Dean, Clairo and Beabadoobee, as well as BICEP, CHROMA, Remi Wolf, and Barry Can't Swim.

But when will you be able to catch your favourite act on the day? Thankfully, you can now plan your full Laneway experience, with the set times officially released for each city.

With these important details locked in, here’s everything you need to know to start planning.

The key things to know before Laneway 2025:

With the Auckland, Brisbane, and Sydney events now done and dusted, we've gleaned some useful information for those yet to go to laneway.

  1. Prepare for it to be hot. If you're heading to the festival during the day, chances are you'll be hit by some serious sunshine, so it pays to have a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water handy. There's refillable water stations set up around the festival, so you can fill up as you go.
  2. Want to get to the front for your favourite artist? All you need to do is head to the Afterpay All Access Area at the front of the main stage, and show your Afterpay app on your phone, and you'll be treated to an exclusive front-row vantage point.
  3. With so many people in one area, you can expect phone reception to be patchy. Plan ahead by downloading the Laneway app before you arrive, so you have a site map and the set times handy.

When does Charli XCX play in each city?

Is Charli XCX playing at Laneway Festival?

Early on October 2, 2024, Triple J posted a very cryptic video of a recently-posted-up roadside sign that very clearly seems to allude to a brat Laneway. Now, we know that this was, indeed a hint, and Charli XCX is our 2025 Laneway Festival headliner. But will Troye, Lorde, Addison and the rest of the SWEAT tour crew be joining? Only time will tell.
