These are the iconic Kylie Minogue music videos we can’t get out of our head

kylie minogue

There are pop stars, and then there’s Kylie Minogue. You'll rarely hear an Australian more patriotic than when we're claiming ownership over the singer, whose humble beginnings on Neighbours were only the start of what was to come. Over the last few decades, Kylie has delivered a catalogue of era-defining music, beginning with surprise hit The Loco-Motion in the late 80s, through to the 2000s with the eternally-catchy (and aptly-titled) Can’t Get You Out of My Head, right through to recent years with Padam Padam.

But it's not just songs that Kylie authored. Almost every single one of her hits has been accompanied by a music video just as — if not more — memorable and meticulously considered than the tune itself. From the gold hot pants of Spinning Around, to her cloaked Grace Jones tribute in Can't Get You Out of My Head, we're taking a look through the archives at Kylie's most iconic music videos, that continue to play on loop in our collective memory all these years later.

The Loco-Motion (1987)

If a music video could look camp straight in the eye, it would be this one. Featuring a teenage (19, to be exact) Kylie dancing with very curly hair, it was her graduation from Charlene (IYKYK) into a veritable popstar.

Better the Devil You Know (1990)

This is widely regarded as Kylie’s first true pivot into true pop-stardom, marking the shedding of her girl-next-door Neighbours image. In a sultry LBD, occasionally short brown hair, and an overall more mature energy, it signalled the beginning of her transformation into a global pop force.

Confide in Me (1994)

Kylie deserves an Oscar for this one. It sees her inhabit multiple personas (with perfectly over the top looks for each one), paired with rich and vibrant visuals. A true storyteller coming into her own.

Spinning Around (2000)

The gold hot pants heard around the world. We'd consider this career-defining, as far as music videos go. Effortlessly glamorous and undeniably fun, it remains one of her most recognisable looks, and a masterclass in pop resurgence.

Can’t Get You Out of My Head (2001)

A personal favourit of mine, this video is futuristic and utterly hypnotic. Directed by Dawn Shadforth, the video’s white hooded jumpsuit and sleek choreography became instantly iconic. Few visuals have captured the early 2000s pop zeitgeist so perfectly.

Come Into My World (2002)

No, you're not imagining it. This video clip did serve as the inspiration for Chanel's latest campaign, starring Margot Robbie, with a cute cameo by Kylie herself. A technical and conceptual triumph, the original clip — directed by Michel Gondry — features Kylie looping through a Parisian street, multiplying with each pass.

Love At First Sight (2002)

This video is nothing short of a work of art. Directed by Johan Renck, it unfolds like a single seamless loop, with Kylie dancing through a constantly shifting space. Her blue eyeshadow and single 'K' earring adds to the effect.

Slow (2003)

Who needs a Euro summer when you can just watch this video on repeat? It's set around a sun-drenched pool in Barcelona with many (many) dancers moving languidly in sync. It’s Kylie at her most effortlessly cool if you ask us.

All the Lovers (2010)

Who wouldn't want to dance on top of a towering mass of nearly naked bodies in the heart of Los Angeles? This video is as much a statement as it is a visual spectacle, celebrating unity, intimacy, and freedom.
