Checking in for one night only at Kérastase Society

Few things in this world are better than checking in for a night of R&R at a nice hotel – a robe, maybe some room service (i.e fries), a drink or two at the bar... And a sleep in, obviously. The only detail that could possibly improve on the above is if you're checking into the Kérastase Society.

Over the weekend, Kérastase did exactly that and took over the Le Méridien hotel in Melbourne's CBD. The experience was entirely immersive: pink lights lit up Bourke Street, before you entered the Kérastase lobby. Guests could stop at the Glaze Café for a drink, pastry or scoop of gelato, or check into one of 80 Kérastase suites for the night.

Also on offer was the Glow-Up Lounge with personalised hair and scalp diagnostics via K-Scan, and the late night social club (an underground bar with custom cocktails, snacks and the kind of DJ set that makes you want to dance).

As for my night at Kérastase Society, things started with a blow dry by Hermiz Daniel (glossy shine restored, even in the rainy weather, thanks to the Gloss Absolu Glaze Drops), a quick change followed by Champagne and a four course personalised dinner. Things them moved to the Social Club, night caps and midnight snacks included.

Saturday morning started at the Glaze Café – is there a better breakfast than coffee and sweet carbs? In my opinion, there's not. After a quick stock up of my favourite Nutritive 8 Hour Night Serum, it was time to (reluctantly) check out.

Basically, my two favourite things in this world are beauty rituals and hotel stays, so combining them both was genius. While Kérastase Society was for one night only, you can get more intel on the RUSSH team's favourite products and hair rituals here.
