Created during the unprecedented times of 2020, Creative Director Stuart Vevers formed Spring 21 as a spotlight on craft, community and responsibility to the planet - featuring new, vintage and archival Coach designs, along with recontextualised key pieces from the AW 20 collection. Coach Forever is a statement on responsibility, renewal and reduction.
“With Coach Forever, I wanted to find new ways of doing things. It was important to me to challenge how we create our collections, and consider their impact on our communities and the planet. I'm excited to keep exploring that through designing and learning, and to have brought this to life with Juergen and our Coach Family.” Stuart Vevers, Coach Creative Director.
Shot remotely around the world, Coach Forever was revealed as a film presentation and stills captured and directed by legendary photographer Juergen Teller. The global cast and now united Coach Family highlights the importance of community and inclusivity with the all-star names including: Kaia Gerber, Kate Moss, Debbie Harry, Kiko Mizuhara, Jeremy Lin, Megan Thee Stallion, Cole Sprouse, Jon Batiste, Paloma Elsesser, Hari Nef, Binx Walton, Lexi Boling, Xiao Wen Ju, Kelsey Lu, Bob the Drag Queen and Rickey Thompson.
Harnessing the houses’s commitment to a more environmentally responsible approach to fashion, the SS 21 collection features vegetable-tanned and naturally-dyed leather bags, along with totes made completely of recycled materials. This includes fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, accessories and even ready-to-wear crafted from up-cycled offcuts. A design approach we can get behind.
