Jennie is carving out a sound and style that’s entirely hers

Jennie is deep in her solo era. An artist, an icon, and a fashion force, she moves through culture like a ripple, where every step, every outfit, every project sparks a moment. As one-fourth of BLACKPINK, she’s spent years at the centre of the music industry. Now, she's stepping out on her own, and we can't help but love this captivating new era.

Right now, she’s at her boldest, from the release of her debut EP Ruby, to sitting front row at Saint Laurent with Dominic Fike, and starring in her own music video with Charles Melton. Of course, a solo career begets plenty of press, with Jennie recently sitting down with Amelia Dimoldenberg for a Chicken Shop Date and, more recently, struggling her way through an episode of Hot Ones.

The singer admitted she's not a fan of spice, telling host Sean Evans,  “I don’t like spicy food or anything to do with spice. If anything, I like things plain, but here I am, facing my fear.” And by wing number eight, we could see why, with the singer heavily leaning into milk and ice cream to dull the pain. Jennie's also stepped up her style game to mimic the shift in her career, leaning into looks that are more experimental, more instinctive. One day she’s effortless in a sculpted Alaïa dress at The Met Gala, the next she’s casual in a vintage tee and ballet flats. It’s this balance, between polish and ease, heritage and modernity that has made her CHANEL’s most captivating muse. She wears tweed twin-sets with over-the-knee boots, delicate slip dresses under oversized blazers, always twisting the classics into something new. She understands the power of a look, knowing when to pare it back and when to push the limits.

But Jennie has never been about just one aesthetic. Her world expands beyond CHANEL to Jacquemus, Gentle Monster, and Calvin Klein, each collaboration feeling like an extension of who she is. She plays with contrasts, pairing masculine tailoring with feminine skirts, ‘90s minimalism one day, Y2K maximalism the next. Off-duty, she masters that enviable mix of undone yet intentional, whether it’s a hoodie slung over a tennis skirt or vintage sportswear with ballet flats.

Whether dressed down or draped in couture, she makes it all feel effortless. Below, we take a look at all our favourite style moments from Jennie.
