IKEA has long mastered the art of the statement collab. Since teaming up with 10-gruppen in 1978 and launching the iconic PS collection in 1995, the brand has enlisted everyone from Virgil Abloh and Martin Bergström to Daniel Arsham.
At this year’s Democratic Design Days in Älmhult, the Swedish furniture brand unveiled a fresh collaboration with creatives Gustaf Westman and Evelina Kroon. And after many months of waiting, the collection has finally dropped. Here's everything you need to know...

About the collection
This collection reimagines festive traditions with a sense of humour and boldness. Inspired by the idea that celebration should be informal, inclusive, and joyful, Westman brings his signature sculptural curves and playful colour contrasts to everyday objects.
As Westman explains, “For me, this was an opportunity to take traditional holiday decor aesthetics and turn it on its head, instead, introducing a sense of playfulness and boldness. This is my interpretation of the holidays; it's a new design for a new generation.”
IKEA and Westman held a launch event for the collection in Seoul, Korea this week to celebrate.
