Harry Styles' new era is (nearly) here.  Just days after confirming his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, the artist has revealed that its lead single, 'Aperture', is arriving imminently.

Taking to social media, Styles shared a candid image from the studio, alongside a simple caption announcing the track’s release, marking the first glimpse into an album that we're more ready for than ever. Here's what you need to know.

When is Harry Styles’ new song 'Aperture' being released?

For fans eagerly awaiting new music, the wait is almost over. Aperture is set to arrive at 12:00am UK time on January 23, or 11am AEDT on Saturday January 24 here in Australia, on streaming platforms across the globe.

It's a welcome treat for those of us who were chomping at the bit for the full album's release, which is slated for 6 March, 2026.

What does 'Aperture' mean?

An aperture is an opening, most commonly associated with photography and film, where it refers to the adjustable opening of a lens that controls how much light is let in. Metaphorically, it suggests clarity, exposure, and moments of transition.

As the first single from Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, the title hints at an invitation into a more expansive phase of Styles' career. Whether the meaning is sonic, emotional, or visual will become clearer once the track arrives, but as a lead single, Aperture reads as an intentional opening statement.

An update to Harry Styles' website

The rollout for Styles’ new album has been intentionally understated yet emotionally precise. Earlier this month, fans were directed to WeBelongTogether.co, a cryptic website that signalled the beginning of a new chapter.

The site has since been updated with imagery of Styles seated in a sun-lit park alongside other figures in line with the news of 'Aperture', each sketching on blank canvases. At the centre of the scene is a clock, its hands pointing not to numbers, but to the words “Disco" and "Kiss". Perhaps a visual cue that hints at the album’s dance-influenced direction?
