Somewhere between precision and provocation. Restraint and rebellion. This is the locus of tension that runs through Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection. Captured by Sly Morikawa and styled by Hannah Cooper for the pages of our May Noise and Disorder issue, their story explores a space that exists between the sharply controlled and directly disruptive.
Drawing from Demna’s first Pre-Fall collection for the House, model Lottie Aaron takes on a wardrobe defined by streamlined silhouettes and an emphasis on reduction. Dresses skim the body with ease, tailored leather jackets carve decisive lines against skin-tight denim, and accessories – from the Lunett to the reimagined Jackie 1961 and the angular Dionysus – become extensions of each look, as opposed to decorative afterthoughts. Yet there is something unsettled beneath the surface.
The collection’s dialogue with Gucci’s archive – particularly the glamour of the 70s and 90s – emerges not through overt nostalgia, but through subtle gestures and familiar codes reworked for the present. Leather, tailoring and sculptural bags are rendered with a sense of clarity that feels distinctly contemporary, while maintaining the sensuality that has long defined the house. And Aaron embodies this duality effortlessly. Perpetually in motion, she presents a vision of femininity that is confident without feeling rigid, polished without losing its edge.
