Giorgio Armani's Spring Summer 2027 collection was brimming with that very specific sense of ease that comes from a holiday somewhere luxurious and warm. In this case, the Mediterranean served as the starting point. Designed by Leo Dell'Orco, the collection drew on the colours, craftsmanship and cultural exchange that have shaped the region for centuries.

Presented as the final show of Milan Men's Fashion Week (fittingly, in the midst of a summer heatwave), the collection translated those influences into a wardrobe that felt relaxed but always sophisticated. A palette of sun-bleached whites, earthy neutrals, cobalt blues and muted golds evoked the landscapes of the region, while lightweight fabrics and fluid silhouettes reinforced the collection's easy-going mood.

Safari jackets emerged as a key silhouette for the season, styled alongside elongated blazers, slim trousers and flowing shirts that struck a balance between structure and softness – a reflection of Armani's long-standing belief that elegance should feel lived in, never restrictive.

Texture played an equally important role in setting the mood. Linen, cotton, shantung and other natural fibres brought depth to the collection, while embroidery and subtle artisanal details referenced the many cultures and craft traditions connected by the Mediterranean. Oversized totes and soft footwear completed the looks – as if tailor made for travel and adventure.

Alongside the menswear, Silvana Armani unveiled her first Cruise 2027 womenswear collection for the house. Echoing the same spirit, softly tailored jackets, fluid dresses and relaxed outerwear were rendered in natural hues punctuated by touches of sky blue and dusty lilac. Menswear influences appeared throughout, reinterpreted with a lightness and ease that felt distinctly Armani. Both storylines culminated in an eveningwear section – which was fleeting but still impactful  – defined by velvet tuxedos for men, and sumptuous deep purples and shimmering blues for women.

Following the show – which totalled 160 looks across both collections – guests were invited to indulge in cocktails and canapés under the trees. A natural extension of the languid, Mediterranean-inspired luxury that had just unfolded on the runway.
