Something is stirring – slowly, insistently – just beneath the surface. A pulse. A tension. The charged moment before a flower blooms open. With its 2026 Bouquet Collection, Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster captures that exact feeling.
At the heart of the launch is a surreal campaign film co-directed by musician and actor FKA twigs and photographer and director Jordan Hemingway, a creative pairing rooted in emotion, movement, and visual intensity. Set to an unreleased track by FKA twigs – revealed for the first time – the film unfolds like a living organism. It traces the journey of a small bud as it unfurls into full bloom, translating nature’s quiet build-up of energy into a hypnotic, ethereal performance. The result is both intimate and expansive, suspended somewhere between dream and awakening.

The Bouquet Collection itself draws inspiration from the delicate architecture of plant stems, transforming organic structures into sculptural eyewear. Frames are defined by looping forms, tangled lines, and tied details – design gestures that echo vines, tendrils, and growth patterns found in nature. There’s a softness to the silhouettes, but also a sense of intention and strength. A standout statement frame, richly adorned with vibrant beadwork, feels almost ceremonial – lush, expressive, and impossible to ignore.
Throughout the campaign, movement plays a central role. Performance becomes the language through which transformation is expressed, reinforcing the idea that growth is rarely passive. Instead, it surges. It stretches. It demands space. This metamorphosis mirrors Gentle Monster’s own creative philosophy: a constant expansion beyond conventional design boundaries, where eyewear becomes a medium for storytelling and emotion.

To bring the collection into the physical world, Gentle Monster is unveiling an immersive pop-up spaces across six cities worldwide. Each space captures a moment of full bloom, immersing visitors in a dreamlike environment. Towering floral sculptures in bold hues and dramatic textures surround a striking chrome statue, creating a visceral encounter with flora at its most powerful. The installations invite guests not just to observe, but to feel – to enter full bloom.
The Gentle Monster Bouquet Collection will be available on 16 January 2026 from 1pm AEDT. The collection will be available to purchase from the Gentle Monster's website, and the Gentle Monster store at Sydney's David Jones, the Sydney Airport T1, and Melbourne's Chadstone.
