Spring Summer 2026 was about as packed as fashion months come. It follows that there are more than a few trends to take stock of, direct from the runway. But among the trends gaining traction, a favourite of the RUSSH team's isn't just pretty – but practical, too.  Across the runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris, designers reimagined the humble necklace as a place to store the things you actually need. Think wallets, pouches, glasses cases — all worn around the neck like jewellery with a purpose.

We first noticed the trend take shape at Michael Kors, where wallets in gold leather and snakeskin were tied onto matching cords with a double knot. Some were small and subtle, others oversized and eye-catching. Coach followed suit with mini pouches — simple shapes in soft leather, big enough for a set of keys or a credit card. Tory Burch blurred the line between jewellery and full-blown handbag, with beaded chains that gave way to tiny shell-shaped coin purses. And at TWP, the idea was even more functional, with oversized wallets and sunglasses slung from the neck, styled like jewellery but worn with intention.

The trend continued in Paris, where Victoria Beckham offered a slightly more sculptural take: eyewear holders that showed off the frames instead of hiding them. And in Milan, Emporio Armani made a case for hands-free fashion, with micro purses worn around the neck.
