October is here, and while the days are getting longer and brighter, the pull to stay in remains the same – thanks to Netflix's new releases. From new seasons of familiar favourites, to thrilling titles just in time for Halloween, there's plenty to get excited about.

Highlights from the October new to Netflix list

Some of Netflix's biggest titles are back this month – among them, Nobody Wants This, which is returning for its third season on 22 October, and Lupin, which is back with part four on 23 October. The Diplomat is also back for a fourth season on 15 October, while East of Eden is (finally) landing on October 1.

Of course, October is spooky season, so this list wouldn't be complete without a few frightening additions. There's Haunted Hotel, The Nun, The Conjuring and Annabelle all joining the platform throughout the month.
