Fontaines D.C. are squeezing in a few Australian sideshows

It's only been a year and a half since Fontaines D.C. graced our ears with live music on the ground in Australia, but we already have dates earmarked in our calendars for 2027 to do it all over again. Now that the Irish rock band have been confirmed as part of the Laneway Festival 2027 lineup, we're sniffing out the details about tickets.

While fans in both Adelaide and Perth were devastated to learn that the iconic music festival would not be making a return to their home cities in 2027, they'll be excited to know that the updated Laneway tour schedule hasn't stopped acts from planning dates in town. Fontaines D.C. have already confirmed a series of sideshows, with tickets forthcoming. Here's everything you need to know...

Where are Fontaines D.C. playing?

The band is set to play shows at all Laneway dates across the country, as well as a few confirmed sideshows. We've pieced together their touring schedule (in chronological order) as follows:

  • Perth: Tuesday 9 February 2027 at RAC Arena
  • Sydney: Friday 12 February 2027 at Centennial Park
  • Brisbane: Saturday 13 February 2027 at Brisbane Showgrounds
  • Adelaide: Wednesday 17 February 2027 at AEC Arena
  • Melbourne: Friday 19 February 2027 at Flemington Park
  • Auckland: Sunday 21 February 2027 at Western Springs

If you're looking to catch the band playing in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Auckland at one of their Laneway performances, you'll need to buy tickets to the festival itself (they won't be playing shows outside of these appearances in those cities).

When and where are tickets for sale?

Perth and Adelaide

You can sign up to get early access to sideshow tickets via the Handsome Tours website. Promoter pre-sale will start Thursday 8 October at 11am (local time), and general tickets go on sale Friday 9 October at 11am (local time). Ticket pricing has not yet been released for shows in either city.

Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland

Laneway ticket pre-sale kicks off on Wednesday 7 October 2026, and will be your best (and only) chance at getting tickets at first release prices. In order to get access, you'll need to head to the official Laneway Instagram account and comment 'LANEWAY' on their lineup announcement post. There's no word yet on ticket prices, but we know the pre-sale will be the lowest price available, and they'll get incrementally higher with later releases.

Who will be the opener at sideshows?

The Dublin band will be joined at both shows by fellow Irish outfit and Laneway lineup act Gurriers.
