Burberry's Cap d'Antibes takeover and LOEWE's Craft Prize winner: here's what you missed in fashion this week

This month we've been a little caught up in the world of art and design – namely because we're still reeling from Milan Design Week – and also the whirlwind that was the Met Gala. But while we've had our attention diverted, there have been plenty of other fashion moments and news stories to catch up on, both in Australia and overseas.

For all the fashion moments you might've missed this week, read on.

LOEWE announces its 2026 Craft Prize winner

Photograph courtesy LOEWE

The LOEWE FOUNDATION hosted its Craft Prize Awards ceremony in Singapore yesterday, announcing that its 2026 winner is Jongjin Park from Seoul, Korea. The artist won for his work Strata of Illusion, 2025, and was chosen from 30 finalists by a distinguished jury alongside creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Park’s seat-like form explores the tension between control and collapse, constructed as a dense, rectilinear mass formed from thousands of layered sheets of paper coated in coloured porcelain slip. In the kiln, the paper burns away and the structure yields, slumping and distorting as heat and gravity shape the final form.
