As a platform committed to championing new voices, RUSSH is calling out to emerging new face talent across Australia to enter The Casting Files – our first national on-camera talent showcase.
This RUSSH-led initiative in partnership with luxury haircare brand, Kérastase invites aspiring and emerging faces to submit unretouched model digitals alongside a short, written reflection on what confidence means to you. Grounded in authenticity and industry credibility, The Casting Files is designed to identify, mentor, and platform the next generation of Australian on-camera talent; speaking to both RUSSH and Kérastase's commitment to encourage and inspire the new faces of the industry to step forward with confidence.
All submitting talent will be invited to attend the RUSSH x Kérastase Gloss Gallery consumer event – an immersive Hair Art exhibition that celebrates hair as the most luxurious accessory of all.
From the submissions received, eight talents will be selected by Charlee Fraser in collaboration with RUSSH, and with the support of Kérastase. The selected talent will take part in an immersive digital cover shoot and portfolio, accompanied by a mentorship experience in Sydney – receiving editorial exposure, industry guidance, and a platform designed to support their next steps. Who can submit?
Emerging and new face female-identifying talent aged 18 years and over are invited to enter.
Entrants must be based in Australia and available to attend a shoot date in Sydney on 23 or 24 February 2026.
You must be the individual submitting your own entry, with full ownership and permission to submit your materials.
All submitting talent will be invited to attend the RUSSH x Kérastase Gloss Gallery consumer event, regardless of final selection.
What can you submit?
Entries must include:
- A set of standard, unretouched model digitals – file size must not be more than 2MB
- A short, written reflection of up to 100 words on what confidence means to you.
When do submissions open and close?
Entries for The Casting Files open on 20 January 2026. Submissions close at midnight on 8 February 2026 (AEDT). T&Cs apply.
When will the winners be selected?
The eight selected talent will be confirmed following the close of submissions. Selected entrants will be contacted directly by RUSSH.
When and where will selected talent be announced?
Selected talent will be contacted directly prior to any public announcement. Further details regarding editorial release and public presentation will be shared with selected entrants.
What will entries be judged on?
Entries will be assessed on their submitted digitals and written reflection, with particular focus on:
- Presence and individuality
- Authenticity and confidence as expressed through digitals
- The written reflection on confidence and self-belief
What are the prizes?
All eight selected talents will receive:
- Travel to Sydney for the digital cover shoot
- One night of accommodation in a Sydney hotel
- Talent mentorship across the shoot day, including industry and social media guidance
- A RUSSH digital cover image, full page inclusion in upcoming print issue of RUSSH and editorial presence within the RUSSH x Kérastase Gloss Gallery showcase
- Full-size Kérastase Glaze Drops and La Parfum product
- An invitation to the RUSSH x Kérastase Gloss Gallery launch dinner and consumer event (attendance optional)
