With fame, especially the kind that Emma Stone has accumulated across nearly two decades in Hollywood, comes great expectations. By expectations, I mean those of the sartorial kind. As a decorated actor – she nabbed two Best Actress Oscars in the span of seven years, and is nominated again in 2026 – Stone has attended her fair share of red carpets, screenings and promotional tours. With a little help from Louis Vuitton and her longtime stylist Petra Flannery, the Arizona-born actor has ensured that each of these public appearances is one to remember.
Her prowess was most recently demonstrated at the 2026 Golden Globes, which saw Stone earn a permanent spot in moodboards across the world in a two-piece ensemble by Louis Vuitton, and the most perfectly-cut bob we've ever seen.

And who could forget the sea foam green gown she accepted her second Oscars statuette in? Even if only for the fact that when Stone made her way onstage, breathless and surprised, her first words were: "My dress is broken – I think it happened during ‘I’m just Ken". Later backstage, Stone was sewn back into the gown by the Louis Vuitton team. Anyone who missed her acceptance speech would be none the wiser.
Impeccable looks like these are now the norm for Stone. – ever since October 2017, a decade after her debut as the husky-voiced love interest Jules in Superbad, when she was announced as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton. In March the following year, she made her first appearance for the House in a campaign cradling Louis Vuitton's Capucines bags. So began a new era for Stone. One inextricably tied to the French Maison, and responsible for carrying her through promo trips for Battle of the Sexes, The Favourite, Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness and now, Bugonia.
It's these last few roles, including her part alongside Nathan Fielder in A24's uncomfortable dark comedy The Curse, that have really established Emma – or Emily Stone (her government name) as a heavyweight. This status means she doesn't have to throw her back into getting dressed, not that she doesn't try. But you never get the sense that she's trying too hard. Fashion is fun for Stone, but ultimately a practicality of the job. Something she can outsource to Flannery while she focuses on Doing The Work.
Even in her early days, Stone has always angled for a more restrained, demure brand of elegance, initially opting for block colours, modest necklines and mod hemlines. Eventually, she'd make concessions for a floral print or intricate beading. But you're more likely to find her taking her biggest chances with her hair. Sweeping side-parts, shaggy fringes, blunt-edged bobs and no colour is off limits. Many of us know Stone as a redhead, but she's a natural blonde and, after watching her as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things, I'd argue even more ravishing as a bushy-browed brunette.
