Elements of Byron, Byron Bay

The sweetest escape. When the mercury drops and you’re in need of some mid-winter Vitamin D, make the weekend migration north to New South Wales’ Byron Bay – where the weather is perennially warm and the people just as sunny. While here, let Elements of Byron, nestled along the water just past Belongil Beach, serve as your postcard-perfect oasis away from home.

Stay …
Close enough to town for convenience, but removed enough to feel like a well-kept secret, Elements of Byron is an eco-focused beachside haven. Choose between an ocean, pond, lake or forest-view freestanding villa, equipped with luxuries you never knew you needed until now, and designed to integrate with its environmental surrounds for an experience that feels authentically Byron. Don’t miss fire pit Fridays, held outside by the central pavilion, with live music, $1 oysters and the bar a couple of footsteps away.

Taste …
Stay put for breakfast – Elements serves up à la carte dishes and continental buffet selections to keep you full ‘til lunch. Their on-site restaurant Graze, with a focus on farm to table-style produce and preparation, whips up a great late night pizza or Moreton Bay bugs with burnt pineapple. For a change of scenery, jump in the car and hit The Farm – a must for any new Byron visitor, or cruise over to Newrybar for a long lunch at Harvest. Finish the day in town with a nightcap at Saint Elmo.

Take …
It might be winter but Byron doesn’t know it. Jeans are still essential, and pack a handful of tees, silk shirts and cashmere jumpers to see you through to evening. Sunscreen is still a must, too, but keep the rest of your beauty barefaced with a tinted moisturiser and lip to cheek for a summer-worthy glow.

See …
A trip to Byron wouldn’t be complete without taking on the lighthouse walk. Start from any number of locations and make your way up to the summit for panoramic views of white beaches and dense bushland.
