September marks the first of only a couple of remaining home resets before the holiday season (scary, we know), so the RUSSH team has been deep in conversation about what’s making our spaces special this spring.
Some of us are moodboarding with linen, candles, and soft furnishings, while others are leaning into the rich, earthy tones of rosa levanto marble. All of us are coveting statement armchairs, and there is – as always – a need to clear space for new reading material.
Below, explore the homewares, furniture, and design accents the RUSSH editors are pining over this September.

ELLISON STUDIOS has just released it New Bedroom collection and it's safe to say I'd like to take one of each, please and thanks. The Melt bed will be fighting for poll position (of our main bedroom) with my current Yoko bed. I also am obsessed with the Nico Occasional Chair and Plinto Bench – both of which could be placed throughout any room in our home.
I recently made a trip to the FLEUR STUDIOS warehouse sale in Sydney and purchased some serious goodies. One of which was the Bombola Rosa Levanto Round Coffee Table. It's stunning. A wishlist rug that would be incredible underneath such a coffee table would be the new Venezia from Armadillo. The Rosewood colour would bring some monochromatic warmth, but I wouldn't be opposed to the green Serpentine shade. These rugs are made from pure silk, so I can imagine how luxurious it would feel underfoot.
I have been introduced to Euclove this month – a Melbourne-based brand that offers plant-based, non-toxic cleaning products – so I am looking forward to seeing how they go. I want to get into bread making, so I need a reputable bread oven. The Le Creuset Cast Iron Bread Oven will be perfect.
Lastly, I was so graciously gifted the Tahbilk 2018 Eric Stevens Purbrick Cabernet Sauvignon and I'm very excited to enjoy it with an (extended) cheese board this Friday afternoon.

Autumn Sonata has been on my radar for a while (in the bathrooms of all the coolest people I know), so their Alma Bath Towel is high on my lust list. I spend a lot of time perusing Finnish Design Store and this month, some of my favourites are: this AYTM Curva bench, an array of these HAY Tins, and this minimalist Georg Jensen water bottle.

I’m really feeling the urge to redecorate now that we’ve entered spring and I’ve been moodboarding a lot. These are the pieces I’m toying with. A statement chair from Worn Store, it looks fabulous solo or as a set.
This Merci Maison cushion in my favourite colour of the moment. This lush linen tablecloth from Cultiver. An adorable little heirloom tomato candle. And this fabulous lamp, which is portable and totally cable free. I’m also kind of obsessed with this box of incense I saw on Lucy Folk.

Every time I come home, I think, I need to address what guests see as they come into the house, so it’s time to upgrade my entrance with a proper console. I’m in love with the Cookie Abstract Console from Fleur Studios. This vase from Tamsin Johnson’s inventory would also look quite arresting for guest arrival.
I am dreaming of a statement chair and whilst initially I thought leopard print would be suitably ostentatious, the zebra artek Tank chair is flirting with me. I recently gifted a loved one the Byredo Summer Rain candle, and now naturally I want one, it smells heavenly.
Naturally I’m fantasising about expanding my whisky library (some things never change) so I need to track down of the 200 year anniversary bottle of The Glendronach Boysonmill House Edition, taste depending but I probably need a first pressing of Wowee Zowee to accompany it…

After moving about a month ago, I finally feel like I have a little more time to spend on and invest in the home, so naturally, I’ve been looking for fun pieces to finesse the place. At the top of the list, is something we’re pretty desperate for: a bed with a headboard. I’ve had my eye on this classic one from Koala for some time now, and I think I’m finally ready to bite the bullet. It looks easy enough to build, too, so I’m even feeling confident I could do it myself. Orange is one of my favourite colours, so I’ve been lusting after this mushroom lamp for some time now. I think it would make the perfect addition to the living room. I also really love this sofa chair, the perfect reading chair in the bedroom or downstairs in the living room.
One thing I do love about our place is how many opportunities there are to showcase my stacks of RUSSH magazines, as well as my collection of books. My latest book quest is actually cookbooks, especially now that I have a little more space to play around in the kitchen. I’d really love to get my hands on this one from Apartamento.
Speaking of the kitchen, no good kitchen is complete without a good vessel. This olive oil vase from Cisco & the Sun feels like the perfect pop of colour, and as someone who uses olive oil at pretty much every waking moment, a good olive oil vessel is of high importance. It’s also handcrafted from mineral-rich clay so each piece is unique and holds its own character.. Another fun addition for the kitchen this spring is this lemon squeezer. Again, as someone who puts lemon on pretty much everything, it’s a kitchen essential in my eyes.
The real hero of the home at the moment, though, has to be this loungewear set from Deiji Studios. I remember first ordering from the brand back in 2019, and I still own that original set today, which says a lot about how much I love it.

Of course I have to add Issue 117 of RUSSH to the stacks of magazines taking over my living room. To add to the coffee table, the Vivienne Westwood Catwalk book would look very nice.
How much chicer can a candle get than one from Bottega Veneta? Though I would probably never actually burn it. Photographer Sly Morikawa currently has an exhibition at China Heights Gallery in Surry Hills, and this print is an artwork I’ve grown quite fond of. To solve the piles of magazines on the floor, this walnut shelf might just do the trick.
I'm a bit obsessed with the organic shape of these two Designstuff vases. A funky glass or straw always makes a drink taste better, especially this mojito glass from Maison Balzac. Or these Tiptoe Coupes from Fazeek. I'm also loving the colour and design of this Sâarde jug – perfect for large gatherings or even as a makeshift vase.
