Homewares the ‘RUSSH’ editors are coveting in May

Our conversations have shifted toward the spaces we inhabit. Whether it’s a total room reshuffle or the addition of a few well-placed elements, we are leaning into pieces that offer comfort and longevity. These are the homewares on our wishlists right now.

I really need some new throw cushions for my sofa. I had debated buying some last year but I couldn’t find the right ones so I paused. But the ones I have now are feeling a little too well loved. I’m looking at a few different ones in earthy tones. I love this tasselled bronze one and I really love this henna colour. I do love the velvet selection at Cultiver too.

It was actually someone from our team that showed me this Phillips coffee machine. When we renovated a few years ago, the breakfast nook we built was too small for the coffee machine we had and we’ve been dealing with it for four years as we haven’t found anything else in the right dimensions. The Phillips one is compact enough that it will fit and it’s the right colour too.

When Diptyque introduced its new candle update, it released some new scents too. I really want the Rhubarb one. I also saw this wooden jewellery box in my scrolling the other day and I’m obsessed. Consider it on my wishlist.

Cass – homeware favourites

A recent trip to Melbourne reintroduced me to my favourite store: The Hub General Store in Collingwood. I’ve been swooning over their Serax Surface Casserole Camogreen By Sergio Herman in green, and also the Klippan Knut Brushed Wool Blanket. I’m also obsessed with this Lavida Duck Boot Brush, the Robert Gordon Jude Mug in Tapestry (so chic), and the Flamingo Estate Leather Appointment Candle.

Stacey - homewares I am covetingIt’s all about softness, comfort and warmth at home for me this month. I'm looking at ELLISON STUDIOS' Lull King Bed for my spare room, along with some linens from IN BED.

I've been obsessed with YUMI's silk pillowcases for some time, so can't wait to order a couple Organic Silk Pillowcase in Frill Tie.

For some warm hallway lighting, the Nelly Wall Light (Mist) via JARDAN is on my wishlist. And to add a touch of light and scent to my kitchen, the Black Sassafras Large Scented Candle from MAISON BALZAC.

Lastly, I am so excited to hero the new RUSSH issue – 'NOISE AND DISORDER front and centre on my coffee table.

Without going full Marie Kondo, I so love a reshuffle and an organise of my home and wardrobe this time of year. I’m far too sentimental to let certain things go, yet I do love a clean line and non cluttered surfaces, so I’m all about storage. Few do it better than USM Haller, and I’m pining for their sideboard E2. I’ve already mentioned my love for the Rachel Donath Remy Dresser, and two of the matching bedside tables would really elevate my sleeping quarters, topped with the Bohan Table Lamp. Perfect for when I flick through How Directors Dressname a hotter scene.

I recently discovered how chic bathmats could be and am quite enamoured with the Cold Picnic Cherry Blossom Bathmat. As I am in a rental, there is not much I can do to improve my bathroom other than accessorise it heavily. A beautiful vase by the sink, such as this beautiful shell by Christina Iversen Studio. A Diptyque Baises Candle also helps create the kind of space I want to spend too much time in.

Lastly, I’m sure fellow feline owners know how hard it is to find items for their cat that aren’t embarrassing, but I’ve just discovered Karimoku Cat, who make gorgeous walnut beds which are almost as elegant as the cat who will sleep on it.

Sophie - May homewares

I’m moving this weekend, so my thoughts are currently absorbed by dreamy homewares.

This modular lounge from MCM House would fit superbly in my space (and fit lots of friends too). I love this McMullin & Co dining table - it’s so sleek and the wood-blend is gorgeous.

I’m upgrading my bed base, and love the look of this one from Totem Road. This table lamp would create a nice mood in the space, and these frilly pillowcases have some character.

I’m also very intrigued by Archie Rose’s new peach Gin, and will definitely need a martini post-move - preferably in Maison Balzac coupes.

Jaime homewares wishlist in May 2026

I always find myself investing more in homewares as the weather cools down there’s something about winter that makes creating a cosy space feel even more important. I’m not usually much of a pink girl, but I’m obsessed with this duvet from Bed Threads, especially their bundle options. I’ve also loved styling my RUSSH magazines throughout the apartment; they double as both inspiration and décor.

Every morning starts with lighting incense for me, and Murasaki by Aesop has become my absolute favourite. In the bathroom, I’ve filled the space with plants and would love to add some sage towels from Hommey into the mix. I already own one of their robes, so I know the quality will be impeccable. I’m also in dire need of some new slippers and these Uggs are at the top of my list.
