May is a month of slow shifts – cooler evenings, softer light, and a renewed focus on the spaces we live in. At RUSSH, we’re turning our attention homeward, seeking out pieces that bring form and feeling to the everyday. From crisp white linen and sculptural stools to incense cones and polished brass, these are the homewares we’re coveting right now.

This month a few new pieces have entered my home. First and foremost, my cherished new RIEDEL Winewings Tasting Set (be gone clunky old wine glasses). I’m also totally enamoured by the Rivet Typecase by FRAMA (stainless steel shelves are IT for me rn). A recent visit to Maillot in Haymarket also made me re-fall in love with the Akari 1a Table Lamp. As a cook book aficionado, I’m also very interested in getting my hands on a copy of Le Creuset’s A Century of Colourful Cookware, which marks the 100th anniversary of the brand’s cookware.

I recently bought new bed linen, but the sheets I chose are very heavy cotton and a little too warm for Sydney’s trans seasonal weather. So now I’m looking for a lighter set to sub in — I love all things Sheet Society, especially the Eve Linen (I love French flax because it softens with every wash). As for the colour, it has to be crisp white.
I saved this Instagram post the other day because I am obsessed with the console table. I’m on the hunt for a similar piece, and the closest I’ve found so far is this mounted one from Tamsin Johnson. This is also special… onto the wishlist it goes.
In the next few months, I’ll be ripping my carpet up to polish and restain the floorboards underneath. I’m starting to think about rugs… I love the Malawi style from Armadillo in either a soft taupe, beige, mushroom or grey. I might make the decision after I see the finished floor.
I recently ran out of my beloved Trudon hand soap. I plan to replenish it, but in the meantime have gone back to Aesop Resurrection. Nothing beats those scrubby particles (plus, it reminds me of Bills).

I have been non-stop scrolling LO&CO’s website this month, as it’s time to pull the trigger on handles for my kitchen renovation.
The handles that I’ve decided on are the Capri Pull in Aged Brass. For drawers, I’ll be going with the small Sphere Knobs, also in Aged Brass. I think aged brass will be gorgeous in keeping with the 80’s character of my home.
I’m in need of a bench and armchair for my entry and living room. This Rachel Donath bench in Jewel Mustard is on my wishlist, and for the armchair I’m torn between the Copenhagen Off White and Opal Ochre for colour. One of each?
For decor, my husband gifted me this Maison Balzac vase for my 30th and it has been home to fresh flowers since. I’d love to grow my collection to include their A Little Bird Told Me Vase.
Incense has been on my mind and I want to try FAZEEK’s Cedarwood + Saffron cones and Amber Incense Holder. Lastly, I’ve just picked up two of these Brass Bow Candle Holders (and candles) from Love Ally and they are just perfect for my entry console table.

First thing on my list this month is a heater and this Nobo one is my top pick. It’s very minimalist and I love that it has the option of being wall mounted or being set on castors. I’m also in the market for a washing machine as mine just broke. This Fisher & Paykel one had me as soon as I saw the steam refresh option.
I got to try out the most beautiful Lelit coffee machine last week and I’m officially sold. Whilst I don’t claim to be a coffee expert, this machine makes me want to be. Pair with these Soos Atelier stainless steel coffee mugs that I’ve been seeing everywhere and I will’ve officially become a coffee aficionado.
Speaking of stainless steel, this Aytm stool is everything I want and more. Am I crazy to think I could also use it to store records? And last but not least these Laetitia Rouget “I could poison you” plates which feel very me. There are also some much sweeter options but these are my faves.

At a proud cat parent, one thing I do have to contend with is scratched up dining chairs. I’m at the point where mine do indeed need updating and even though these ones from Fleur Studios are out for pre-order and not available now, I do have my heart set on them. I also need a new throw for those cosy nights on the couch, I love this Hommey one. I’m in love with the colour of this butter bell from Merci Maison. And following an unfortunate incident with my induction stove top and a misplaced elbow, my favourite Le Creuset trivet is no more. I will be buying a new one as it’s essential for anyone that does a lot of cooking. It’s magnetised so you can easily move hot pots around the kitchen in a pinch.

The first thing on my list is something of a necessity. I recently moved into a new house, and between us, my housemate and I have about 5 mugs – not ideal for an avid tea drinker. I am fixated on this Le Creuset mug set. I think a new season necessitates new bedding, and I love this crisp white cotton set from Sheet Society, ideally with this mohair blanket by Tekla thrown over the top. And finally, I think a candle is the perfect way to christen a new home, so I’ll be eyeing off this Cucumber Loewe candle until further notice.

I’m looking to refresh a few things around the house this month - new towels from Tekla, cutlery from Maison Balzac and their latest candle offering to fragrance my home. Inspired by the perfume of summer in the Spanish village of Cadaqués, it’s just the thing to transport me this winter. An early morning coffee is a ritual in our house, especially with my youngest being an early riser. This Smeg coffee machine is on my wishlist, and just the thing for serving up an Italian-style coffee in the mornings - I love that it will look great on the bench top too. This Alessi tray will be a great addition to the coffee table for my candles, small vases and trinkets. Lastly, I love these hand-blown venetian glass vessels made in collaboration by Bianco Light & Space for AGMES.
