Homewares the ‘RUSSH’ editors are coveting in January

Our homes have been taking up more space in our conversations lately. From small luxuries like the candle we are burning and the glassware we are reaching for post holidays, to furniture brands that inspire and the soft furnishings that promise the most comfortable reading corner. These are the homewares we are coveting for in January, 2026.

Dusen & Dusen is firmly at the top of my homeware wishlist right now. I’m craving more texture in my living space, and their bold, statement cushions feel like the perfect place to start. This throw from Sydney-based brand Cillie is also high on my list — an easy way to introduce colour and texture. The brand’s playful ethos and celebration of individuality makes it a natural fit. I’m also loving these bright slippers, ideal for adding both comfort and a pop of colour at home.

Diptyque’s reed diffusers have been on my radar as a simple reset for the new year. I’m always drawn to colourful accents, and this blue mirror by Rachel Donath feels like the perfect bathroom addition. While we’re there, I’m equally obsessed with this handmade glass bowl by Lawn Bowls, functional, but undeniably beautiful. A wavy lamp from Curated Spaces is next on my list, bringing a sense of movement and fun to the living room. And finally, when it comes to coffee table books, The Sofia Coppola Archive has been on my wishlist for some time now and absolutely deserves pride of place on my coffee table.

I’m not sure if a keychain counts as a homeware but it’s something I’ve been looking to upgrade for a minute now – and I love these bespoke keychains from Lucky Object which drop monthly on their website. Over Christmas I was gifted this Silver Fish Juicer which I now sits proudly on my counter, as well as the Sassafras oil from TSU LANGE YOR, which is the perfect sultry, moody home scent (we’ll be burning it in the matching TSU LANGE YOR oil burner ofc). And I’m picnicking lots at the moments, so this SUNNUP Woven Outdoor Mat in Bonsai feels like an apt investment.

I’m very excited about one of the gifts I received for Christmas. I got an Ember mug, which keeps your hot drinks at a perfectly drinkable temperature. I have a bit of a habit of falling asleep in front of half-full cups of tea that then go cold. But no more! It’s my favourite homewares item right now. I also was kindly gifted a set of Bed Threads cotton towels and they’re so luxurious. I did a lot of entertaining over the holiday period and it made it painfully clear that I do not have enough serving platters. I’ve been browsing Alex & Trahanas for some potential new additions like this orange-themed platter. I’ll also need a top up of my favourite Grown Alchemist hand soap. I actually have this on subscription and my next order should process soon. I’ve been eyeing off this candle holder from Saardé. It’s the perfect piece to place on top of a book or magazine stack. Finally, I really want the slicer/shredder attachment for my Kitchenaid. I’ve been making so many salads recently, I feel like it would be a massive time-saver.

I’ve been thinking, is one record player per home enough? Could I possibly need one in my bedroom as well? I don’t know, I just have this fantasy of listening to vinyl in bed through my cans. It's a nostalgic fantasy but could be modernised by this Sony LX-310…, especially with the black minimalist design. On that note, I’m keen to get back on the decks again a little more in the new year, so would love my own to rehearse with. I’d really love a Pioneer XDJ-RX2, but proving elusive, any hot leads appreciated! The RX3 looks amazing but maybe too clever for my vibe curations.

Records are essential homewares and I’m still hunting for a first pressing of Smog’s Dongs of Sevotion. The kitchen is another creative hub in our house and I need to upgrade my food processor. The dream is this stainless steel number from Breville. I would also love to upgrade my ‘use for everything knife’ to this Misono blade.

For beauty’s sake, and because I love a good lamp, I’m putting this Marquis Table Lamp from Rachel Donath on my wishlist. And lastly, for comfort, a pair of Cultiver’s Silk Linen Flip Pillow cases, in blush please.

I’m currently deciding on a new bedding set - it’s between Studio Sutram or Plantchester (or maybe both). Once I decide, I’d love to add this Curio Practice blanket on the end of the bed - it’s 100% merino wool, and one-of-one.

Other things I’m eyeing include:

There's a chance I will be moving in the next couple months, and I've been filtering things down and giving or donating pieces that no longer serve me or bring me joy, to allow the space for some newness.

Furniture brands I'm always scrolling through are McMULLIN, ELLISON STUDIOS and RJ Living, and some wishlist items are:

And outside of furniture, I'd love to pick up some mesa sorbetes - ice cream coupes (short) and maybe even this gorgeous TOM DIXON Press medium glass vase. Lastly, Resident Dog (Volume 2): Incredible Dogs and the International Homes They Live In by by Nicole England is a must for my coffee table.

Homewares the 'RUSSH' editors are coveting in January 2026Having recently moved into a new home, I’ve been experimenting with layering candle scents to create a signature fragrance. Santal by Diptyque is next on my list to pair with my long-time favourite, Vanille.

I also am obsessed with the “purse bowl” idea, and a chrome Georg Jensen piece feels like the chicest landing spot for keys, rings, and everything I refuse to misplace. Since seeing her exhibition in SoHo, I’ve also been eyeing Pamela Hanson: The 90s as a coffee-table keepsake.

I’m in the midst of upgrading my crockery, too, and this Fornasetti plate has caught my attention.

The things on my homewares wishlist all fall into the smaller, but still very much needed, category. First things first, I want to start making sourdough in 2026 (this is the year of hobbies), so it feels only right that I upgrade my kitchenware. A big cast iron casserole dish from Le Creuset is at the top of my list.

After a recent cupboard clear-out, I realised I have so many perfume samples in my house. I was inspired by a chic TikToker to put them on display in my bathroom, so now I’m on the hunt for the perfect vessel. You can’t go wrong with a small dish from Dinosaur Designs. Another home-related resolution is to officially banish the use of big lights — lamps only in 2026. This one by RJ Living is perfect for bringing a little bit of warmth into a room.

Last but not least, I’m lusting over this set of bowls by Alex and Trahanas. The perfect colourful addition to a tablescape.
