Homewares the ‘RUSSH’ editors are coveting in February

Our home wishlists are always evolving, but February has brought a clear sense of focus. From considered furniture choices to smaller design details, these are the pieces the RUSSH editors are coveting right now.

At the top of my wishlist is this long-admired replica rattan dining chair set. I’m also well overdue for a new table lamp, and this RJ Living piece feels like it would bring exactly the right amount of warmth to my space. When it comes to scent, I rarely stray from Diptyque’s Santal candle, I genuinely can’t remember the last time I didn’t have one burning.

I’ve also been slowly building my Apartamento magazine collection, with Issue No. 33 next on my list. With travel coming up in the next couple of weeks, I’m on the hunt for travel-friendly Aesop essentials to add to my suitcase, especially this body scrub, which smells absolutely incredible.

Despite not currently being in the market for a couch, I have been thinking an awful lot about the Ellison Studios Float Couch lately – especially in the Piccolo colourway. Also, this Remy Dresser Saddle from Rachel Donath is heaven with the marble top.

And in no particular order, my other soft obsessions this month (as Paloma Elsesser would say): the Tanchen Studios Sesame beaded coasters. This soon-to-be released coffee table book from Exhibition Studio: Assistants. (I’ll have to bide my time until 11 Feb for it.) Service Project's Caféteria Mugs (stacked, preferably). These Vintage Spanish Wrought Iron & Leather Chairs from Curated Spaces, and some Georg Jensen Cocktail Sticks (stainless steel for everything, please).

There is never a shortage of homewares on my mind at any one time. I think it's an addiction. Firstly, my absolute dream would be to have eight to ten of these Henrietta Dining Chairs in Ecru from McMULLIN, sitting around this Perlas Dining Table from En Gold. Also from McMULLIN, these Duke Bookends are in my cart. For something plush underfoot, I've still got a safari tab open with Ellison Studios' Radius Inverse rug in Cocoa.

In decor, FAZEEK's GEO URN - PINK + AMBER has been a favourite of mine for some time, and I'd love a couple Bordeaux Double Candle Holders from Maison Balzac.
Lastly, DIPTYQUE's La Forêt Rêve Premium Scented Candle looks delicious and I must get my hands on it soon.

I am mid-renovation and thus my waking hours are spent thinking purely about homewares. All my fine glassware is packed, so I’ve conveniently ‘forgotten’ what I have. As such, I’ve convinced myself that these Waterford martini glasses would be a perfect housewarming gift to self. My new kitchen will also have a small bar area, so a chic decanter would be great. I absolutely love this one.

Also on the list is a mirror for my entryway – Tamsin Johnson has such a beautiful, interesting selection. I’m particularly drawn to this bronze tortoiseshell design. I’m going to need a few rugs, too. I’ve spent hours watching TikToks on rug selection because it really can alter the vibe of your space. I have dark floorboards, so want something light and serene for the bedroom, maybe this one from Armadillo? For my living space, I have a gut feeling I need colour. This jade hue is beautiful but not overwhelming. Finally, I’ll have to sage my space when this is all finished and I’ve moved back in – I love Aesop Kagerou Incense for this.

In an increasingly relentless life, home is my sanctuary and is forever in need of love. I just want a den of textures, scents, art, music, food, and of course, good wine.

I was recently lucky enough to receive a green glass clam who will protect my jewellery but needs a friend. This Rosso Lavanto tray would be perfect for the overspill. On the rosso note, I’m trying to convince my partner we need a coffee table and would love this from Fleur Studios.

Never ask an event stylist if you can have too many vases, because no, you can’t. I’m eyeing up this blue Corsi Design number. The same goes for candlesticks too, by the way. This is both masculine and twee, so I would like it very much.

Imagine drinking a bottle of Pinot Noir inspired by The Cure as the candles burned down? Heaven. Ochota Barrels are so cool. Records are homewares too, so if anyone can find me a first pressing of The Replacements’ Please To Meet Me, I’d be much obliged.

I recently flicked through Alison Roman’s latest cookbook at a friend’s place and think having my own copy would provide the ultimate cooking inspiration. I’m also looking for a new coffee machine, and am certain it will be this one from Breville - we have one in the office and it’s intuitive for an amateur barista like myself.

For entertaining, I’m loving these stainless steel trays from Service Projects, ideal for serving a simple cheese platter. Also coveting this candle scent from Le Labo, alongside an impeccably chic backgammon set from Fourth St, and this lamp from HAY to soften my space.

Lastly, I’m due for a restock of my favourite French Earl Grey tea from T2 - perfect with a drop of honey.

I’ve been staring at this new Le Labo candle for weeks now and I think it’s time I pull the trigger on buying it. A new tablecloth has been on my list for sometime and I’m currently looking at the linen Cultiver ones. I think the striped one will go perfectly with the new Maison Balzac escargot spoons I was given. I’ve been using them at every possible moment. They’re divine.

I’ve also been very tempted by the stainless steel mugs at Service Projects, they’re very, very cool. And finally, I’ve nearly gone through an entire packet of this calming tea from Biotyspa in just two weeks. So, it’s time to top up.

I choose to wilfully ignore the space available to me for furniture and decor additions, opting for a buy-first-and-figure-out-where-to-put-it-later approach. In this spirit, I have a running list of new homewares—at the top of which is this lamp by Wretched Flowers. The framed tapestry is a close second. There’s no limit to my lamp obsession, so it’s only a matter of time before I cave and get the wireless Flos Bellhop Table lamp. I love it in Brick Red and Grey Blue…maybe I need both?

Despite an overflow, I never seem to have the right vase for my fresh flowers. This Gaetano Pesce vase from Dot Shop is is always on my mind, but a more pragmatic (though no less fun) option is this Maison Balzac one. I am also in the process of phasing out all the plastic from my kitchenware, so am gradually investing in quality stainless steel kitchen tools from Sori Yanagi that will last a lifetime, and look beautiful all the while.
