April has arrived, and with it, a shift in rhythm. Long weekends make way for Easter table settings, the school holidays invite softer corners, and the weather hints – gently – at hibernation. Our homewares wishlists reflect the change: stainless steel and handblown glass, creamy neutrals, warm lighting, and vases waiting for autumnal blooms. Some pieces are practical, others aspirational – shaping the way we live, and the homes we’re coming back to. Here are the homewares we are coveting in April.

Creamy neutrals, stainless steel and handblown glass are all on my wishlist this month.
I love these taupe linen napkins for Easter entertaining - the perfect match for the last of ice cream weather, served in these beautiful Service Project cups. I also adore these Soft Edge marshmallow dining pieces for completing the table setting. For the finishing touch, I’ve long dreamed about a vintage Murano vase filled with white blooms as a table centrepiece.
For cosy moments over the school holidays, I’m dreaming about curling up on this MCM House chair and reading favourite books with my daughters.

I’ve had the flooring in my home redone in late March, so I can now look at furnishing the living room. I have a list of items I’ve been coveting and hope to collect for the space. The Pouf Stool from fform, Morris Chair from McMullin and Alva Armchair in the new Nougat Frame are all seating options to wish for. I need a large rug and have been looking at the largest Marimekko’s Unikko Beige for a while – I think it will bring some character and softness to the room.
Moving into smaller items, I recently got my hands on the FAZEEK Teak + Neroli Fragrance Oil and Wave Stone and I really like this medium for an at home scent. The teak and neroli is warm and inviting.
Lastly, I’ve had Our Place pans on my wishlist for some time and will be thinking of the Titanium Always Pan® Pro until further notice.

This month, my focus is on curation and accumulation. I purchased an apartment with my partner last year, and we are finally beginning the renovation process (mostly ideation – for now – but with some minor changes beginning slowly). Putting aside any structural changes, my main focus is aesthetics, obviously. We live close to the ocean, but ‘coastal’ is not exactly my style (unless, of course, it’s in reference to a Nancy Meyers’ movie and Diane Keaton is the main character). So we’re heading in a direction that still feels light and open, but sans sea shells.
We’ve been loving experimenting with different textures and tones, and as the layout of our living room is a little unique, this Benn Armchair from MCM House is the perfect solution. In the same colour family, Hommey has just realised its new Versa bedding collection – a completely reversible quilt cover collection that gives you two different styles in one. I love the versatility of this and means I can mix and match my bedding without having to store cupboards of linen (essential in apartment living).
As far as decorative pieces go, I’ve had this Harlie Brown Studio vase on my Wishlist for some time, and think it would sit perfectly on a bench or atop a cabinet (with and without flowers in it). I also am on the hunt for decorative towels and have purchased these Aura ones before and loved them. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right? I might get a little creative with the colour way pairings.

Moving into the colder months always inspires me to make my apartment as cozy as possible. I’ve recently had an obsession with terracotta and rich earthy tones that add warmth and this beautiful armchair will be the perfect addition to my bedroom. This matching pot will help tie the warmth through to my bathroom, preferably sat next to this beautiful rich Ellison Studios candle.
If you’ve been following along my homewares journey this year then you’ll know that I prefer every mundane object to be a work of art and this Ichendorf Milano oil bottle is giving that exact energy. This TASCHEN egg recipe book is so fun and will also be taking pride of place on my kitchen counter.
I’m still yet to find the perfect way to store/display books (they’re currently in a pile being used as a bedside table) but this Spectrum shelf might be the perfect solution. Potentially even two side by side? Last but not least, a fun vase to justify my obsession with buying myself flowers. I’m currently deciding between the Serax paper bag vase, or this concrete one. Opinions welcomed.

I just bought all new linen, and it’s inspired a bit of a bedroom makeover. I have plans to take out a built in chest of drawers and instead build a small vanity. Naturally, I’ll need a chair and a mirror. I love the simplicity of this brass one from Rachel Donath, or this bevelled vintage Italian shape (how beautiful is the green?). And on the topic, this green vintage French chair with heart detailing feels exactly right for ‘getting ready’. Surprisingly I am much less intimidated by colour in my home than I am in my wardrobe.
After I got Negroni all over one of my favourite coffee table books on the weekend, I’m also on the hunt for chic coasters. These Danish ones from Etsy are cute, but I love the simplicity of these from George Jensen, too. On a less glamorous note, I recently bought a Huski Wine cooler and it’s changed my life — it will keep a bottle of orange crisp for hours (boating, picnics — you name it). It’s inspired me to get a Champagne cooler, as well.

While my list this month is more aspirational than practical, these are the pieces I’ve earmarked for some time in the future when I actually have room to add more furniture and homewares to the mix. First is the beautiful Bryant Dining Chair from West Elm. It reminds me of some favourites from HAY, but in a beautiful hue called ‘Spiced Cacao’. From Perrault’s newly launched website, Johnstons of Elgin’s White Cashmere Throw is a new wish list addition. And for scent, I’ll never go past Diptyque. Maybe this beautiful Tubereuse candle for the home.

The greatest addition to my home lately has been my little kitten, Mulder, so my home purchases this month are focused largely around his (and our) comfort. I am far too enamoured with him and genuinely considering the Waterford Pet Bowl… For something little more financially restrained, I’ve gone for soothing fragrances around the house, so I've topped up on my Aesop sarashina incense alongside a Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt candle. With event season in full swing, I would love to add the Georg Jensen Oyster Dish to my tablescapes and perhaps the Shiloh lamp to read by in my down time.
