Between limestone façades, passing cars and fragments of autumn light, Chiara Casari moves through the city in Dior Autumn Winter 2026, where the collection finds a new rhythm beyond the lush green of its originally runway showing.
Photographed by Linus Morales and styled by Thomas Townsend, the shoot places Dior within the everyday theatre of Paris – grand architecture, narrow streets, changing light and the constant movement of the city. Here, the clothes are no longer held in place. They move with the person wearing them.
Jonathan Anderson’s AW26 collection, originally presented at the Jardin des Tuileries, explored the idea of the promenade: dressing for the act of moving through a place, of being seen and disappearing again. In the city, that feeling becomes instinctive. A jacket slips from a shoulder. A skirt catches the wind. Pleats shift with a passing step.
Dior’s familiar codes are softened and reworked throughout the collection. The Bar jacket takes on new proportions, while voluminous trousers, pleated silk, lace and layered skirts bring fluidity to the silhouette. Floral references echo the collection’s Tuileries setting, appearing through delicate embellishment and lily-inspired forms, their softness set against the harder surfaces of the city.
The Lady Dior, of course, is a fixture. As is the Dior Promenade – structured and unmistakable, the bag becomes not only an object of display but a companion – catching the afternoon light before disappearing around a corner.
There is something distinctly Parisian in the contrast: the grandeur of Dior against the ordinariness of a city afternoon. A carefully constructed silhouette beside a moving car. A flash of lace against old stone. Metallic fabric catching a passing ray of sun.
With hair by Georgia Ramman and makeup by Rose Letho, the beauty remains close and understated, leaving the clothes and the city to create the atmosphere.
Morales captures these fleeting moments – a stride, a turn, a glance, the instant light changes across a façade.
