Depop has just unveiled its latest feature, and it’s one we didn’t know we needed. 'Outfits' is a new in-app tool that lets you collage, curate and style looks as you browse (or shop), using actual listings from the Depop marketplace.
Gone are the days of piecing together your vision on Pinterest, only to hunt down similar pieces elsewhere. Outfits transforms the resale platform into a space for moodboarding in real-time, allowing you to plan looks and style multiple pieces together, and overall encouraging creativity. Here's what we know.
How does Outfits work?
The Outfits feature feels similar to Pinterest. In essence, it allows you to browse the Depop marketplace as usual, but now with the option to “add to outfit” on any item listing.
Once inside the Outfits tool, pieces can be arranged and layered in a drag-and-drop interface — think of it as Polyvore, but for 2025, and with shoppable links. You can mix and match items, build entire looks, and visualise how different pieces will interact before you buy.
You can also save your outfit boards for later or share them with friends, adding a social layer to the app experience.

More than just resale
In a press release, Depop’s Chief Product Officer Sonia Biddle described the launch as a strategic shift. "Outfits is more than just a tool; it’s a foundational step in Depop’s long-term strategy to create a more socially driven experience," she explains. "It supports our differentiation in the resale market by leaning into what makes our community unique: creative styling, fashion exploration, and culture-driven commerce."
This move signals Depop’s intention to move beyond being a resale platform, and toward becoming a creative hub for fashion inspiration.
When will the feature launch in Australia?
Currently, Outfits is rolling out in select regions including the US and UK, but an official launch date for Australia has yet to be confirmed.
Historically, Depop has followed a staggered global rollout for new features — so Australian users can likely expect access in the near future.
We’ll be watching closely for when Outfits finally lands Down Under. In the meantime, here are our favourite celebrity Depop shops to browse while you wait.
