After watching Celine's Spring Summer 2027 menswear show, my to-do list magically whittled itself down to one task: finding out exactly when and where I could buy a pair of the Celine x Reebok sneakers.
Since Michael Rider took the helm as creative director at Celine in July 2025, we've undoubtedly seen some incredible footwear from the house – particularly when it comes to sneakers. The brand has carved out a signature with sleek, flat lace-up silhouettes featuring rubber soles and leather interiors. But it's the latest pair that's really grabbed our attention.
Our excitement is partly because, over the past decade, under both Phoebe Philo and Hedi Slimane, Celine hasn't been a brand known for collaborations. In fact, the house's last major partnership dates back to 2010, when it signed a licensing agreement with Safilo, granting the company the rights to design, manufacture and distribute Celine eyewear globally.
So when we spotted the Celine x Reebok collaboration on the runway, it immediately became one of the biggest talking points of the show. Here's what you need to know if, like us, you're desperate to get your hands on a pair.
About the shoes
They might look like basic white trainers, but as Celine's first-ever sneaker collaboration, these shoes are a big deal. Rather than making the partnership the headline of his menswear debut, Rider introduced it quietly; without fanfare. Unless you were paying close attention to the runway, you might have missed the co-branded sneakers entirely. It's a move that feels distinctly old Celine, defined by restraint rather than spectacle.
The shoe reworks Reebok's archival Freestyle silhouette. Originally launched in 1982, the Freestyle shoe is recognised as one of the first athletic shoes designed specifically for women, and became synonymous with the aerobics boom of the 1980s. Now, Rider has reimagined the classic with supple lambskin leather uppers, intentionally aged and distressed finishes, and subtle Celine branding in place of the traditional Reebok logo. And true to Celine's understated aesthetic, the sneaker arrives in a slimmer profile than the original.
According to High Snobiety, we can expect it to arrive on shelves in six colourways.
When will they be released?
While there is no exact date yet, the first release of the Celine Rebook sneakers is rumoured to go on sale in September 2026. It's not yet known which out of the six colourways will be released – or perhaps all will. Another release will be in early 2027, lining up with Spring Summer collection's usual release date.
How much are they?
There is no confirmed price point on the Celine Rebook sneakers yet. However, judging off the average sneaker price on Celine's website, we would guess between $1300 and $1600 AUD.
