After what has felt like an eternity of waiting, BTS is officially making their return to music, with a new album and global tour both slated for 2026.
The long-awaited announcement came during a livestream, marking the first time all seven members — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook— have appeared together publicly since 2022. For those unfamiliar, the group was put on hiatus for two years, while each member has completed South Korea’s mandatory military service. But with that now behind them, BTS are coming back to music at full-force. Below, everything you need to know about BTS' world tour including, most importantly, how to get tickets.
When is the BTS world tour?
At this stage, official dates are still under wraps. We do know, however, that the tour will coincide with the release of their new album in Spring (which is between March and May, in Korea) 2026.
This will be BTS’s first full-scale tour since the Permission to Dance on Stage series in 2022, which saw over 4 million attendees across the globe.
“We’ll be visiting fans all around the world,” the group said in the livestream. “We hope you’re as excited as we are.”
Which countries will BTS tour?
Though exact cities haven’t been confirmed, BTS tours have historically spanned major global markets — so fans can likely expect stops in Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Australia.
With demand at an all-time high and venues selling out in minutes during previous tours, it’s safe to assume BTS will be performing in stadium venues in 2026. And as with their previous global runs, ticket competition will be fierce.
What about new music?
Alongside tour plans, BTS announced that they will begin working on a new group album in July 2025, with the full release planned for Spring 2026. This marks their first group project since 2022’s Proof and their first studio album since 2020’s introspective BE.
“Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music," the group shared on the livestream. "Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”
BTS is reportedly traveling to the U.S. this month to begin writing and recording sessions.
