After years of waiting, it’s finally happening: BTS are back.
We knew that BTS had announced a world tour back in July 2025 (and were working on new music to go along with it), but we never discovered whether Australia would make the cut. But it seems our prayers have been answered, and the K-Pop stars will grace us with their presence Down Under. Here's what you need to know — including how to get tickets.
Where is BTS touring?
Just about everywhere, it seems. The tour details were announced on 14 January 2026 at midnight KST(which is 2am AEDT / 1am AEST in Australia). They include stops in North and South America, Europe and, of course, Asia Pacific.
It's the group's biggest and most significant tour to date, spanning 34 cities across five continents, with 79 shows in total.
When will they tour Australia?
So, what about Australia? Aussie fans will have to wait until 2027 to get a glimpse of BTS in the flesh, with Australia one of the last countries on the schedule. The exact dates are:
12 February, 2027 - Melbourne
13 February, 2027 - Melbourne
20 February, 2027 - Sydney
21 February, 2027 - Sydney
How can I get tickets?
The presale kicks off at 10am AEST on Tuesday 2 June for Melbourne tickets, and 1pm AEST on the same day for Sydney. You can access them via Tickemaster, but you'll need to have registered for the ARMY MEMBERSHIP PRESALE on Weverse, first. Registering will give you a 9-digit membership number that will unlock the tickets when its your turn in the queue.
After that, general tickets go on sale at 10am and 1pm AEST for Melbourne and Sydney respectively, on Thursday 4 June
Will any more Australian cities be added to the schedule?
At this stage, only Sydney and Melbourne are on the schedule. But if you're from another part of the country, don't lose hope. There's a significant chunk of time between the Melbourne and Sydney shows, meaning the group could make an additional stop (or two) along the way.
When will the album land?
All seven members of BTS came together during a live broadcast on fan platform Weverse on 1 July 2025 to jointly announced their post-military return and that they were working on a album and tour.
And now, we officially have an album release date: 20 March 2026.
The date was revealed to fans through handwritten New Year’s letters sent to their Weverse fan-club members, with personal messages of thanks from the group alongside the printed date: 2026.03.20 and a brand new band logo.
The project is still untitled, but has been confirmed to feature a total of 14 tracks that “reflect the culmination of BTS’s journey to date and defines the group on their own terms... driven by each member’s honest introspection as they collectively shaped its direction by weaving their individual perspectives into the music.”
The upcoming record will be BTS’s first studio album since 2022 and their first major group release after several years of solo projects.
All seven members have now completed their service, with Min Yoongi (Suga) being the last to be discharged in June 2025. Since stepping back from group promotions, BTS never really disappeared – instead, they stayed firmly in the spotlight through solo albums, documentaries and on-screen projects. But this album represents a long-awaited creative reunion.
