NET-A-PORTER’s Brigitte Chartrand sends postcards from London Fashion Week

NET-A-PORTER's Brigitte Chartrand sends postcards from London Fashion Week

From intimate breakfasts to grand runway homages to London nightlife, London Fashion Week was a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity and British fashion at its most compelling.

And in amongst it all this season was NET-A-PORTER’s Chief Buying & Merchandising Officer, Brigitte Chartrand, who sent postcards to RUSSH reflecting on the standout moments that defined the season. Kicking off with a private breakfast hosted by Jonathan Anderson to mark the opening of the Pimlico store, to Pauline Dujancourt’s ethereal SS26 collection and Erdem’s dramatic showpieces at Tate Britain, each presentation offered a distinct perspective.

Here, Chartrand shares the moments and collections from her week that captivated her (and some of the key pieces set to shape the season ahead).

JW Anderson

I kicked off London Fashion Week at our NET-A-PORTER private JW Anderson breakfast – a celebration of the new Pimlico store opening with our EIP customers, hosted by Jonathan Anderson himself.

Pauline Dujancourt

Next stop was the Pauline Dujancourt show. We’ll be launching her SS26 collection on NET-A-PORTER next month, so hers was a collection I was especially excited to see. It was absolutely beautiful and definitely one of my highlights of London Fashion Week.

Erdem

Erdem is one of my favourites every season during London Fashion Week and this season’s show at the Tate Britain was no different. The coats really stood out, especially the two one-of-a-kind showpieces created with Barbour.

Liberowe

The Liberowe presentation was truly beautiful, featuring sculpted bouclé textured dresses that felt both striking and refined. The craftsmanship and silhouettes gave the collection a sense of modern couture.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha is another show that I look forward to every season, and once again it was a real highlight for me. I loved the natural evolution of the dresses – a beautiful continuation of Simone’s signature romantic aesthetic, refreshed with subtle twists. The music perfectly complimented the mood of the show and the accessories and finishing touches felt especially strong this season too, with delicate shearling gloves, oversized collars and faux fur stoles, which added depth and character throughout.

Burberry

Burberry closed London Fashion Week as always this season. Staged around a "rainy, nocturnal London", outerwear was of course a key focus, this time with a noticeably fresher perspective. Classic trenches were reimagined with softened silhouettes and romantic ruffled collars, and we also saw lots of shearling and leather accents throughout.
