Anouk Smits drifts through the frame in Bottega Veneta

Chaos almost never announces itself outright. It settles in gradually – through flickering conversations, restless evenings, the quiet seduction of neon-lit streets and minds that won’t stay still. For RUSSH’s May issue, Noise and Disorder was a sensation to be embodied: something felt in movement, texture and tension. The vibration beneath the surface.

Set against the emotional architecture of Bottega Veneta's Autumn Winter 2026 collection, our internal cover leaned into contradiction. Under the direction of Louise Trotter, the collection explores what she describes as the dialogue between “Brutalism and sensuality” – a reflection of Milan itself, where severity softens into intimacy, and elegance exists alongside restraint.
