These are the actors we’d cast in the Bon Jovi biopic

bon jovi biopic

Bon Jovi is officially getting the big-screen treatment, and while Universal has locked down the project, details around casting are still very hush-hush. With the band’s legendary catalogue, fans are understandably already imagining who could step into the shoes of Jon, Richie, David, Tico, and Alec. Naturally, we took it upon ourselves to cast the ultimate lineup.

Here's who we're predicting we'll see on screen in the forthcoming Bon Jovi biopic

Actors we'd cast as Jon Bon Jovi

Jake Bongiovi

Sorry, we had to. Who better to play the rock icon than his own son? We're guessing the biopic will take place in Bon Jovi's younger years, which would make Jake the perfect age. Beyond just the resemblance, he has the energy and presence to sell the highs and lows of a young musician finding his voice.

Miles Teller

If the beach scene in Top Gun: Maverick tell sus anything, it's that Miles Teller has the charisma to play a rockstar. We also know he can handle scenes of pure rockstar energy as easily as intimate, character-driven moments, making him an ideal choice to portray Jon navigating fame, friendship, and the pressures of creative ambition.

Actors we'd cast as Richie Sambora

Jacob Elordi

Dark hair, sharp jawline... need we say more? We've seen him play Elvis in Priscilla, so we already know Elordi has what it takes to channel the swagger of a musician. We're eyeing him off for round two.

Dacre Montgomery

Best known for Stranger Things, Dacre has the right mix of edge, intensity, and charm. He could pull off Richie’s electrifying guitar performances while giving the character depth in quieter scenes of friendship and creative tension.

Toby Wallace

Another rising Australian talent, Wallace has that dark-haired, brooding rock energy that could work perfectly for Richie’s early years. He’s adept at playing intense, magnetic characters while still letting emotional vulnerability shine through.

Actors we'd cast as David Bryan

Joe Keery

Another Stranger Things alum, and a real-life musician, we can think of few actors better equipped for this role. He’s perfect for showing the keyboardist’s enthusiasm and larger-than-life presence both onstage and behind the scenes.

Harris Dickinson

He's already tapped to play John Lennon in the Beatles biopic, so why not add another musical legend to his resume? We can absolutely picture Dickinson with Bryan's signature long curly locks, too.

Actors we'd cast as Tico Torres

Anthony Ramos

Known for In the Heights and Hamilton, Anthony definitely has the musicality to portray Tico’s drumming prowess and vibrant personality.

Tony Revolori

Best known for The Grand Budapest Hotel and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tony has presence to portray Tico’s lighter side. We'll admit, we don't know if he can drum, but we think he could add to the band’s dynamic on and off stage.

Actors we'd cast as Alec John Such

Timothée Chalamet

Yes, we're throwing Timmy into the mix. Chalamet has proven his emotional range in everything from Call Me by Your Name to Marty Supreme, so we know he could take on  Alec John Such, the bassist whose quiet contributions and steady presence helped hold the band together behind the more flamboyant personalities.

Nicholas Hoult

Nicholas has a track record of balancing charm and intensity, from The Great to The Favourite. That combination of gravitas and approachability would make him a strong fit for portraying Alec’s stabilizing influence and behind-the-scenes importance.
