Let’s start with the big one: Split Enz. Yes, you read that right. The legendary New Zealand group (who soon after formed Crowded House) is reuniting and hitting Bluesfest as part of their newly announced Australian tour. This alone would have fans scrambling for tickets, but Bluesfest didn’t stop there. Earth, Wind & Fire will be bringing the funk, soul, and pure joy back to Byron for the first time since 2012. If the thought of belting out September or Boogie Wonderland in a field surrounded by thousands of dancing fans doesn’t spark immediate serotonin, check your pulse.

In another beloved return, The Pogues are making their way back for the first time in 14 years to honour 40 years of Rum, Sodomy & the Lash and celebrate the life of the irreplaceable Shane MacGowan. Expect emotional sing-alongs, rowdy cheers, and a whole lot of nostalgia.

And yes, the legends keep coming. Sublime, The Black Crowes, Buddy Guy, the Marcus King Band, and Counting Crows are all joining the party. That’s already a festival poster most events would dream of, but Bluesfest decided to flex a little harder by stacking the bill with standout Australian talent too. Names like Xavier Rudd, The Living End, Mark Seymour, Mental as Anything, Skegss, The Dreggs, South Summit, and Pierce Brothers promise that the local contingent will be every bit as electric as the international heavy hitters.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any bigger, organisers casually mentioned there’s more to come. Considering this initial drop includes 35 acts, whatever comes next might just melt the internet.

When is it?

The 2026 festival will run from 2-5 April 2026.

When and where to get tickets?

Tickets for the 2026 iteration of the festival are already on sale via Moshtix. This includes single day, festival-long, camping, parking and platinum/VIP tickets.

Will there be sideshows?

Several artists – including Sublime, Buddy Guy, and The Pogues – will also be playing exclusive sideshows across the country, so keep those calendars handy.
