Justin Bieber is no stranger to getting around Los Angeles in a pimple patch (no doubt thanks to his glazed wife, Hailey Bieber, who also happens to be the founder of billion dollar beauty company, rhode). He's been pretty open about his acne, and so probably made a lot of people feel seen with his candid-ness.

Now, the Biebers have announced their first-ever skincare collaboration: Rhode Spotwear Pimple Patches. The limited edition drop is timed to launch next weekend (fittingly, the first weekend of Coachella). The hydrocolloid spots come in five shapes: a mushroom, curve, jelly bean, daisy and bubble.

What is a pimple patch?

A pimple patch, or hydrocolloid sticker, is a type of spot treatment that was developed and popularised in Korean beauty. Most pimple patches are made from a wound dressing (hydrocolloid) that not only protects the skin from picking and infection, but gently absorbs fluid over the course of many hours, resulting in a smoother, less-obvious spot.

Starface was one of the first pimple patch brands that launched decorative patches, flipping the common acne rhetoric that it should be hidden or concealed. The star shape also means they fit snugly on the face, too. Yellow is the original colour but they also have black, blue, metallics and limited collaboration patches with the likes of Hello Kitty.

Rhode Spotwear Pimple Patches

Pre-Rhode Spotwear, Hailey and Justin were often photographed in Starface patches. These launch April 13 and are limited, so get in quick. Bets are also on that Justin will perform his Coachella set in them.
