If you've seen Sorry, Baby, you know it wasn't going to take long before Eva Victor was snapped up for something else. Now, that something else has been determined – and it's a role alongside Pedro Pascal and David Harbour in Tony Gilroy’s next feature, Behemoth!.
Their Sundance debut Sorry, Baby — which Victor wrote, directed, and starred in — drew praise for its quiet power and humour, eventually taking home the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award and landing an eight-figure deal with A24. Now, with Behemoth!, they enter an entirely different cinematic landscape — and we’re watching closely. Here's everything you need to know.
Who’s involved?
Tony Gilroy will direct Behemoth! from his own script, reuniting with producers Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy, his collaborators from Andor. Victor rounds out the cast – though exact details of who will play who are still under wraps – joining Pascal and Harbour. Known initially for sharp viral comedy, Victor has since evolved into one of the more exciting new voices in indie film.
What is Behemoth! about?
Searchlight is keeping most details about Behemoth! tightly under wraps — even the logline is being withheld. All that’s been teased so far is that the film “revolves around a cellist,” a detail which could point to anything from an intimate character study to a psychological thriller, especially in Gilroy’s hands. Given his track record, we can likely expect tension, precision, and the unraveling of a story much larger than it first appears.
When will it come out?
According to reports, principal photography for Behemoth! is set to begin in Los Angeles later this month. While no official release date has been set, the film is expected to premiere sometime in 2026 — likely with a festival debut if Gilroy’s past projects are anything to go by.
