Now this is the kind of news we can get around. Amelia Dimoldenberg, best known for hosting her interview show Chicken Shop Date, is creating her very own young adult drama series.
As we've seen throughout her career, if Dimoldenberg has a will, there is a way. Just take her YouTube show, which began when she was 17 as a magazine column for London youth club magazine The Cut, born from a desire to interview UK rap and grime artists. In other words, determination is something that has flowed through Dimoldenberg from an early age.
Now, it seems she's going to apply that same tenacity to a television series (her own version of Skins to be specific), saying at the Edinburgh TV Festival that she was willing the project into existence.
And this isn't her first screen project. Earlier this year, she announced that she was creating her own romantic comedy, which is currently in production with Amazon Prime.

What is it about?
Well, as the project hasn't been green lit yet there is still lots of unknowns. However, as mentioned, she wants it to be her versions of the BBC series Skins – likely in vibe, rather than actual synopsis. In case you need a refresher, Skins is a British teen drama that follows the lives of a group of college teenagers as they are on the precipice of adulthood, figuring out life while going through a few obstacles.
Who is involved?
Dimoldenberg runs her own production company, Dimz Inc, so we can expect the show to be produced by her. While she mentions wanting the BBC to broadcast it, there has been no confirmation yet if they will. With no further comments from Dimoldenberg herself on her dream show coming to life, there is no confirmations on a cast or crew.
