After a decade of awkward eye contact, and flirtation with a side of chicken nuggets, Amelia Dimoldenberg is switching gears, literally. The comedian and presenter is stepping out of the chicken shop, and into the driver’s seat with a new Formula 1 series titled Passenger Princess.
Of course the woman who’s made a career out of secondhand embarrassment would take her inability to drive and turn it into content. Of course she'd trade fried chicken for full throttle. The premise is simple enough — Amelia learns to drive — but her driving instructors include some of F1’s biggest names.
Here's what you need to know.
What is Passenger Princess about?
The four-part YouTube series will follow Dimoldenberg as she attempts to earn her driver’s license, learning from the ultimate teachers — real-life Formula 1 racers. Bringing her signature deadpan humour to the race track, Passenger Princess promises a mix of comedy, chaos, and candid conversation.
“My dream has always been to tell stories and work with great collaborators,” said Dimoldenberg in a statement. “Although I don’t know how to drive, I’m excited to put my well-established passenger — and interviewing — skills to good use.”
The series was filmed at this year’s Belgian Grand Prix and is being co-produced by Formula 1 and Dimz Inc., Dimoldenberg’s creative studio and production company.
Is there a trailer?
Yep. You can watch it here:

Who will she interview (or drive with)?
In each episode, Amelia plays passenger princess to a different Formula 1 driver. Unsurprisingly, she's managed to pull some pretty big names for the occasion. Her guests (or should we say drivers?) include:
- George Russell
- Ollie Bearman
- Oscar Piastri
- Carlos Sainz
When does it come out?
Passenger Princess premieres October 15 on Amelia’s YouTube channel, with new episodes dropping weekly on Wednesdays.
The series marks another bold turn for Dimoldenberg, who’s expanded far beyond Chicken Shop Date in recent years. From interviewing everyone from Bella Hadid to Jonathan Bailey, to going viral on just about every major red carpet, she’s proven herself one of the most original voices in pop culture today.
