Love Aimee Lou Wood? Here are 6 of her best films and TV shows to watch next

Aimee Lou Wood

The White Lotus might be over for season three, but our love for Aimee Lou Wood will live on. The English actress won our hearts these past few months for her portrayal of the always-wise, ever-optimistic Chelsea. And while her stay in Thailand might have come to an end (we won't give anything away, but IYKYK) there's still plenty more of Wood's work to familiarise yourself. From Sex Education, to the more recent Toxic Town, the actress has been booked and busy in recent months — a trend that, if you ask us, isn't set to slow down any time soon. Below, fill the White Lotus-shaped hole in your heart with the best of Aimee Lou Wood's film and television projects, to date. Happy watching!

Sex Education

For many of us, our introduction to Wood's genius came via Sex Education. In the four-part series, Woods plays the bubbly, funny, and sometimes naive Aimee Gibbs. Initially portrayed as the cheerful best friend to main character Maeve, Aimee’s character evolves significantly throughout the series. Her journey is marked by personal growth, as she navigates the complexities of relationships, sexual identity, and trauma. Despite her initially carefree demeanour, Aimee proves to be a deeply empathetic and resilient character, often providing support to those around her while also learning to take ownership of her own life and emotions. Wood’s portrayal of Aimee adds layers to the character, blending humour with depth in a way that makes Aimee both relatable and endearing.

Toxic Town

Aimee Lou Wood in 'Toxic Town'

In 2025, Woods proved herself a force to be reckoned with in Netflix's miniseries, Toxic Town. Wood delivers a powerful performance as Tracey Taylor, a mother grappling with the loss of her newborn daughter. Set against the backdrop of a real-life environmental tragedy, Woods brings depth and vulnerability to the role of a woman caught in the emotional and legal turmoil of the Corby toxic waste case. Tracey’s grief is palpable, but so is her determination to seek justice, making her an incredibly compelling figure in the fight for accountability. Woods' portrayal is both raw and sensitive, capturing the resilience of a mother unwilling to let her daughter's death be in vain.

Daddy Issues

In Daddy Issues, Wood plays the role of the quirky and endearing Violet. Violet’s journey is one of personal growth, as she wrestles with her own insecurities and the complicated dynamics of her relationships, particularly with (as the title suggests) her father. Wood infuses the character with a perfect mix of humour, vulnerability, and charm, bringing a fresh energy to the story.

Alice & Jack

Wood has a relatively small roll in this romantic comedy series, but it's still worth a watch. At the centre of it all is Alice and Jack, two characters navigating the tumultuous waters of a romantic relationship. Wood plays Maya, the assistant to and self-appointed best friend of Alice — and biggest supporter of Alice and Jack's relationship.

Seize Them!

Wood stars opposite another of our favourite British actresses in this hilarious comedy: Nicola Coughlan. Set in Britain in the Dark Ages, she plays the arrogant Queen Dagan, whose castle is besieged by rebels, led by their leader, Humble Joan (Coughlan). Needless to say, things only get more chaotic from there.

Living

This historical drama takes place in London in 1953, and stars stars Bill Nighy as a bureaucrat in the public works department who learns he has a fatal illness. Down the track, Nighy's character runs into the enchantingly charismatic Margaret (Wood), a former young subordinate, who inspires him to begin a new lease on life.
