When Adults first arrived earlier this year, it quickly filled the Girls-shaped hole in our hearts. With its sharp writing, quick wit, and cast of new-gen talent, it managed to capture the chaos of being a twenty-something in a way that felt all too familiar. Now, just months after its debut, FX has blessed us all with the news that Adults will officially return for a second season. Here's what you need to know.
Who’s involved?
The series comes from real-life couple and creative duo Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, who first made their mark as the youngest-ever writers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Since then, the pair have honed their distinct brand of observational humour, producing what was considered a success across the board with season one.
They’re joined by a team of executive producers including Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, and Rob Rosell, with FX Productions once again steering the ship for season two. And yes, the ensemble cast — Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao, and Owen Thiele — will all return to navigate another round of chaotic dinners, existential crises, and questionable decisions.
