If 2026 taught us anything, it's that A24 is a force to be reckoned with. And now, 2027 is shaping up to do the same. The studio has another eclectic slate on the horizon, spanning ambitious new projects from some of the most interesting directors working today, alongside a few very expectedly unexpected casting choices.
If your Letterboxd watchlist is already bordering on unmanageable, look away now. But if you're on the hunt for something new to watch, below find every A24 film coming to screens in 2027.
1. The Entertainment System is Down
Release date: TBC
Cast: Kirsten Dunst, Keanu Reeves, Daniel Brühl, Nicholas Braun.
A24 acquired the rights to this project back in 2024 – and it looks like it will finally be hitting our screens in 2027. It comes courtesy of Swedish director Ruben Ostlund (who gave us Triangle of Sadness), and charts a calamity on board a plane, focused around a group of Australian cricket fans who are flying home after their team loses an Ashes series against England. As the title suggests, chaos ensues over the in-flight entertainment.
2. Deep Cuts
Release date: TBC
Cast: Drew Starkey, Cailee Spaeny.
We were hoping this adaptation would be released in 2026, but now a 2027 release date seems more likely. The fate of Deep Cuts was somewhat up in the air when Odessa A'zion joined the cast and then quickly dropped out (her character was of Hispanic descent, which A'zion is not). The story is about two music-obsessed twenty-somethings who collide in a campus bar and spark a decades-long creative partnership.
3. The First Omen
Release date: TBC
Cast: Josh Hutcherson, Hunter Schafer, Havana Rose Liu, Sophie Wilde, Emma Corrin.
Filming is underway for this horror film, which is the work of director Arkasha Stevenson (who made her feature directorial debut with the 2024 horror film The First Omen, prequel of The Omen). It's reportedly about a bachelor party "that spirals into terror."
4. Jonty
Release date: TBC
Cast: Cole Escola, Jesse Plemons, Taylor Russell (TBC).
News that Cole Escola would be joining the A24 fold first dropped in late 2025 – and sadly, that's about all we've heard since. We do know, however, that Escola will be starring opposite Jesse Plemons (an A24 regular at this point), and that Taylor Russell was being eyed for another role. Watch this space.
5. Dennis
Release date: TBC
Cast: Yura Borisov, Alison Oliver, Jim Broadbent, Kelly Macdonald, Jamie Demetriou.
Another project we've been waiting with baited breath for. The latest is that Anora's Yura Borisov and Saltburn's Alison Oliver are being joined by a formidable trio of British actors: Jim Broadbent, Kelly Macdonald and Jamie Demetriou. We also know that the plot is around a British student (Oliver) and a Russian poet (Borisov) who fall in love in 1990s Moscow, and that it's the directorial debut of Emily Mortimer.
6. The Masque of the Red Death
Release date: TBC
Cast: Mikey Madison, Lea Seydoux, Franz Rogowski, Benedict Wong.
It feels like forever since we saw Mikey Madison's Oscar-winning performance in Anora – and hopefully, 2027 is the year that changes, with the release of The Masque of the Red Death. It comes courtesy of director Charli Polinger, although the story itself is an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's classic. According to reports, Madison and Seydoux play twin sisters – Madison's role originally went to Sydney Sweeney, but she dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
7. Enemies
Release date: TBC
Cast: Austin Butler, Jeremy Allen White, Anna Sawai, Hidetoshi Nishijima.
Who better to lead a tense thriller than Butler and Allen White? The project was written and directed by Henry Dunham (and counts Ari Aster as one of its producers) and, according to the logline, is about “a relentless detective and an infamous contract killer collide in a deadly game of cat and mouse". According to reports, filming actually took place for this one in 2025, so finger's crossed it makes it to the screen in 2027.
8. Flesh of the Gods
Release date: TBC
Cast: Kristen Stewart, Wagner Moura, Esmé Creed-Miles, Roland Møller and Alba Baptista.
This film is set in 1980s amidst the bold glamour of the Los Angeles party scene. A married couple choose to switch up their normal lives by engaging with a hedonistic group led by a woman known as Nameless. Slowly the couple are seduces and driven into a spiral of indulgence, thrills and eventually violence.
