Awards season continues, and next cab off the rank is the Actor Awards (formerly known as the Screen Actor's Guild Awards). Devised to celebrate outstanding performances across film and television, the good news is that the ceremony is now easier than ever to watch live — especially for Australians. Here are all the details so you can catch the action live as it happens.
The ceremony will stream on Netflix
The Actor Awards have moved to a global streaming format, with Netflix serving as the exclusive home of the ceremony worldwide, including in Australia. That means you won’t need a traditional free-to-air TV to tune in — just access to Netflix.
To watch, you'll need an active Netflix subscription. The ceremony is streaming live as it happens, but will also be availalbe on demand afterwards, so you can catch up on whatever you've missed when it suits you.
What time does it start?
Netflix's coverage of the event begins at 11am AEDT on Monday 2 March here in Australia. The actual ceremony will kick off at 12pm AEDT.
What about the red carpet?
The red carpet is also included in Netflix's coverage, and will be hosted by Paige DeSorbo and Scott Evans.
During the pre-show, winners for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture and Television Series will also be announced.
Who's hosting?
The awards will once again be hosted by Kristen Bell, marking her third consecutive time with the gig. She's not up for any awards this time around, but her Nobody Wants This co-star Adam Brody is nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role. We've roundup up all the nominees, including snubs and surprises, ahead of today's ceremony.
What’s changed?
In 2026, the ceremony historically known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards has been officially rebranded as the Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists). Despite the name update, the format will remain the same — celebrating excellence in acting.
