There's a new film on the horizon, and it's about to become our entire personality. 100 Nights of Hero brings together some of our favourite names in film, TV and music right now: Emma Corrin, Maika Monroe, Nicholas Galitzine, Richard E. Grant, and Charli XCX.
Directed by Julia Jackman and based on Isabel Greenberg’s cult graphic novel, the film is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival this September — and if the newly-released trailer is anything to go by, it's about to make waves. With a cast this stacked and a love triangle at the centre of the plot 100 Nights of Hero is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year. Here's what you need to know.

When does 100 Nights of Hero come out?
The film will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 6, as part of the prestigious Critics’ Week lineup. Following that, it’s set to hit cinemas on December 5, 2025 — just in time to make it into your Letterboxd wrapped.
What is it about?
As you might have gleaned from the teaser, 100 Nights of Hero is a story about love and betrayal. It follows Cherry (Monroe), a young wife trapped in a cruel marriage to the powerful (and petty) Jerome. When he makes a twisted bet with his friend Manfred (Galitizine) — if Manfred can seduce Cherry in one hundred nights, he wins her and the castle — it sets a dangerous plan in motion. But Jerome doesn’t realise that Cherry is already in love with her maid, Hero (Corrin)... which sets chaos in motion
Who else is involved?
Alongside its lead trio, 100 Nights of Hero features an ensemble cast of dreams, including Charli XCX (making her feature film debut), Felicity Jones, Richard E. Grant, and Amir El-Masry.
The film is directed by Julia Jackman, who also penned the script. It's adapted from the graphic novel by Isabel Greenberg, whose illustrated feminist fables have long had a cult following.
