Wish you were here: love, Victoria

Beachside escapes, long lunches and lounge room dance parties. Summer’s here, and in the words of the Boss himself: baby we were born to run.

Escaping …
Close to home but far from everything, I’ll be chasing a taste of the great outdoors with a spell spent at Simple Pleasures Camping Co. Bedouin on the Beaches. Give me a luxurious tent perched overlooking Manly Beach on the picturesque grounds of St Patrick’s Seminary, the softest IN BED linen, floors covered in authentic Persian rugs and artisanal cheese boards on arrival. Morning breakfast is just a wander down via rainforest path to The Boathouse, Shelly Beach.

Essentials …
Comfortable footwear for morning walks, like these Golden Goose Super Star sneakers that you can slip out of when the ocean calls. For a sunrise swim I’m packing my Eres swimsuit and a Matin wrap dress to throw on after for breakfast. I’ll be living in Frame denim cut-offs and white tees courtesy of Jac+ Jack, and will pack a slip from The Row for when the evenings call for finer attire. Holly Ryan hoops and an All Blues’ Hungry Snake ring will be summer staples, while beauty is best kept simple. By Terry Terrybliss Terrybly Densiliss Sun Glow serum, RMS Lip 2 Cheek and a spritz of Martin Margiela Replica fragrance will do just fine.

Celebrating …
Christmas means long, loud lunches with my family, gin and tonics in the backyard and Bruce Springsteen blasting loudly on Christmas Eve. This year I’ll be gifting my sisters sleepwear from Masini & Chern, Mirador prints for my best friend, and for the one who has it all: a set of Maison Balzac glasses – perfect for that mid-afternoon cocktail. On Christmas day I’ll be to be wishing for my dream bag from Loewe, reading Emma Cline’s The Girls, lazing by the pool in a Sensi Studio hat, playing aggressive games of table tennis and dancing into the warm night with the ones I love.
